    Did some shopping here!
Located next to my hotel, I walked around here just to look around. Noted items for sale are clothings, rugs, jewelries, spices, shoes, bags, souvenirs/carvings, etc. Merchants were welcoming, inviting you to take a look of their stores. I ended up buying 2 shirts with embroided symbols and name of Luxor. Price = 100 EGP or about 3 US$! Excellent cheap souvenirs from Luxor! The market is clean and very organized. The streets are straight and wide unlike the ones I’ve visited in Morocco where one can easily get lost. Wooden roofs cover the streets so it was comfortable walking around here.

Good place to buy cheap souvenirs!
This souk is located very close to the Luxor Temple - maybe a 5 min walk - and in the heart of Luxor. There are shops selling T-shirts, Egypt souvenirs, etc. Bargaining is a must here, or else you stand to get fleeced! Quality of stuff is okay.

Fun place to grab a bargain!
Not as big as I thought with quite a few shops still closed, but nice way to spend a morning. Yes you do have to deal with people hassling you and bargaining down to a suitable price, but the people are quite nice so it is a bit of fun. BIT OF ADVICE! Avoid the 'factories' which your guides will try to take you to in Luxor as they will rip you off every which way!! Especially Thutmoses Factory! They will tell you something is €230 which you barter down to €100, then find out you can buy one for about €20 in the Luxor souk! We bought many items from the souk/market from a lovely guy in my photo who gave very reasonable prices!

    An experience
Not as big as the Khan-El-Khalili in Cario but my daughter and I enjoyed this far more as we felt more comfortable. Went visiting a night then again during the day. Night was more exciting but again the salespeople/merchants were welcoming but were a little pushy. The majority of the souvenirs items are cheap and are imported from China.

The Market is in the heart of the City center and it has very good Café shops and restaurants with a good view of Luxor Temple.

The Market Shops are plenty and it has variety of everything you might need but I would suggest that you walk around first and get an idea about different prices and then decide where you want to buy.

Please stay away from this place if you read my review. This is the first time I feel dangerous in my whole 12 days Egypt trip. As what other comments already said , the hawk selling aggressively & non stop annoying.

And the most important part below what I felt I am under dangerous.

When a guy approached me & Said I am working in your hotel ( lie ) and want bring me to see something. I said no.

He then keep annoying as normal. While I keep saying no , then he said let's high five & said good bye. HE THEN USED FULL FORCE , JUST LIKE FIGHTING FORCE , TO HIT MY PALM. I DIDN'T EXPECT ON THIS & ALMOST FALL DOWN !
Hey man , I just didn't buy things from you doesn't mean you can treat me in this way ?

Another lier comes to I go a shop & buying beer. He first said EGP 50 & when I pay , he said EGP 100 and told me he can't understand English. This is simply a lie.

Full of lier , aggressive & rude guys nearby. Stay away from here. If you are a lady , please avoid going this market alone.

This place is a shame of Egypt.
