Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Golden Tours Egypt made our experience of the overday Alexandria tour from Cairo amazing. We were well taken care of from the beginning by being picked up at our hotel by our guide. From there, we drove to Alexandria on a desert road and upon our arrival experienced ancient spots such as Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Qait Bay Fort and Mosque of Abu El Abbas. Our guides were friendly and knowledgable and a huge contributor to what made the day so fantastic. I will never forget the experience and am so happy to have taken this day trip.

I was at awe at the fantastic views and structures of the historical place, and my tour guide, who accompanied my from my Hotel kept me occupied with abundance of historical information that made the entire Day Tour very fulfilling. I am glad to have chosen Golden Egypt to guide me through my trip to the Pyramids!!

A great day we spent at Giza through Golden Egypt tours.
We visited pyramids of Giza and Saqqara step pyramids , both of them fantastic , also I must say our tour guide Dalia has big role in that day by her smiley face and knowledgeable for everything we ask about .
Also we were having a chance to visit Papyrus institute before we get back to our hotel .
I highly appreciate and recommend this company for any visits not only in Giza but for any place in Egypt .

We planned this tour entirely by email and over the internet from America and never imagined it would be as great as it was with such a superb, personal and accomodating guide! Everything was handled from meeting us at the airport until our departing flight. We were at the best hotel in Cairo and our guide had everything planned an organized perfectly. He was so knowledgeable and so interested in pleasing us personally I cannot possibly imagine a better tour guide. We travel a great deal and have experienced a lot of tour guides, but never anyone better. We really felt like we had a local friend who enjoyed showing us as much as he could and answering any question we had. I only wish I could remember all the knowlege he had and gave us on everything we saw. You cannot go wrong using this company. The only suggestion I would have is for the company to provide detail to go to the bank window to get a visa before going through customs. This was confusing and some other much higher priced travel companies somehow had people inside customs to meet travelers and so when we arrived and couldn't find our guide we were alarmed and had to go wait in the customs line twice because we didn't know about the Visa. Everything was fine once we called the company and figured the Visa thing out (you just go to the window and give them $30 and they give you a piece of paper). And frankly, I don't need my hand held for twice the price, but after a 36 hour trip, I was tired and just wasn't ready to figure anything out. But again, there was nothing else to figure out for our whole 5 day trip. Our guide had our back for everything! This may have been our favorite trip ever!

My partner and I paid 1350LE for a bus to pick us up from our accommodation and take us to Giza Pyramids and the Sound and Light show. We met the tour guide at the Pyramids. The tour was non-existent. There was no structure to the tour and very little ambition to try and explain the story of such a historic monument. I am Egyptian originally and have been through many tours to the Pyramids. So I CAN compare. Our tour guide just wasn't up for it on the day. The rest of the tour followed the same lackluster approach. I advise you read up on Wikipedia before you go and then take a Camel Ride on your own. Or you can hire a tour guide there. At least they will be more wiling to explain. Don't get me wrong, it was a great experience but this was down to the Camel Ride and Photos we took.

I have always wanted to go to Egypt and this day trip of Cairo was the highlight of my trip to Egypt. I loved seeing the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The market Khan al-Khalili, had so many local delights. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who would like to see Cairo.

If you are already in Cairo, you must visit Alexandria! This city is worth the visit, but the best way to see it is to hire a touring guide, because the locals are savvy of all the things you probably are not. Tour is well thought out, comfortable and well worth the money. The guide was nice and well informed about all kinds of stuff. Catacombs alone are amazing and worth the trip!

Cairo Layover Tour is amazing! I found them on TripAdvisor, which has always provided excellence, and this particular tour provided everything I desired. From the prompt hotel pickups to the delicious and affordable luncheons - who would not want to munch on local delicacies whilst gazing at the Great Pyramids at Giza - my tour was impeccable. Our transportation was comfortable and air-conditioned, but the most important was our guide. He spoke perfect English which merely added to my enjoyment of the places I had studied for so many years: the Catacombs (which are as fascinating as those in Rome), the Great Mosque of Abu El Abbas, and the Alexandria Bibliotheca. These were my 'musts', but our guide was so steeped in history of the area and tantalized with little historical vingnettes I felt as though I had toured with a guide from the National Museum! I can't recommend Golden Tours enough, and look! if you see their prices compared to other lesser tours, you will discover that you have indeed found a Golden Tour Nugget!

I would recommend this tour to anyone who doesn't only want their vacation to be a hedonistic visit to the pool or beaches, but a wonderous visit to some of the oldest and most beatufil man made places on Earth. The accomodation was great. The rooms were nice, cosy. But the excursions are the ones to talk about. I can't begin to explain how the sights were. The guides had fair knowledge and were interesting to listen to. One thing i would also recommend going: Sound and Light show at Gyza pyramids., if you're not too exausted from that day's sightseeing, don't miss out on it.
