We booked a day trip online and luckily for us we got Omar as tour guide! We visited all sites and Temples on the East and West Bank of Luxor, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple, Karnak, Luxor temple, colossus of Memmon. Omar organized for us the perfect day trip! He started with a brief overview of the Egyptian history and main locations allowing us of better understing the sites to be visited. Omar is extremely prepared, ready to answer to all our question and highlighting all most interesting historical facts related to every site visited. We started tourists and tour guide and ended up having lunch with a friend! I strongly recommend Omar for every type of tour in Egypt.

Private Tours were a quick alternative to EMO TOURS who had let us down, badly, by not showing up for our day tour of Cairo. We had booked with them for the Luxor tour but were worried they would be a no show again so cancelled and booked with Private Tours. EMO graciously paid back half of our fees, $1,530! and we are still fighting with them, hoping to get back more. SO, don't use EMO TOURS! Would definitely recommend Private Tours. We took a flight to Aswam then by car to Luxor. So much to see, we wished we had booked more than 2 days .We visited the Valley of the Kings (one off my daughters"s bucket list. The next day we went to Aswam Dan, a truly wonderful feat to behold. One off my bucket list! Egypt truly is a magical place to visit. As an aside I should mention we were perfectly safe wherever we went and were treated with extreme courtesy by everyone.

This was a very good tour and highly recommended. I had a qualified Egyptologist as my tour guide throughout the day. My guide, Ragab, had worked while in school on digs in the Valley of the Kings and was an expert on the sight. I had a limited amount of time in Luxor and this tour was outstanding. Highly recommended.

My experience was woeful. I arranged a private tour of the museum and was totally disappointed. My guide, Margot, could hardly walk and was out of breath the whole time. She tried to convince me to do everything quickly and I had to ask if I could see certain things/stay longer. She sat down whilst I went round on my own. Margot took phone calls the whole time and often answered the phone whilst in the middle of telling me about pieces! She smiled once during the 4 hours and I felt like I was causing her great inconvenience. Perhaps I was unlucky guide wise but I would not recommend this company to anybody. Emo Tours were much better during my trip with them yesterday. Margot also left me standing in the middle of a busy road outside the museum.... no care for guests. Avoid!

Our Tour guide Mrs.Shaima Baheeg was very good. She was kind and cooperative. She gave us information about lot of things in Luxor. Thumbs up to Shaima. We had a great time with her. :)
