An inexpensive way to look around Noumea. The bus was airconditioned and clean, and the stops were in various locations, enough for us to see a few shops and to have a look around the city. The trip would have been better if the bus driver had given a commentary with local information.

Welcome to the closest island to heaven and thank you for your feedback regarding our Hop-On Hop-Off bus. With LYVAI, it's always half price from the ship and twice the fun.
The Ho Ho bus is not a guided tour but a short introduction is given by our bus coordinator before each departure. Our sales team do explain to each customer where our buses alight and they also encourage people to take photos of the Ho Ho map displayed at our booth.

We arrived early for our pre paid 9:30 tour. On arrival were told the 9:30 was booked out and we could wait the nearly 2 hours for the 10:30 train. The tour was ok. The seating was very squashy and it was sometimes difficult to hear the commentary.

Passengers who booked online have priority over those who come on the spot, we deeply apologize and will remind our salesman of this issue.
It's impossible to wait for 2 hours when the next departure is only an hour later.
We're deeply sorry about the sound system, we'll send our repairman to get the speakers checked.
The train comes in one size only unfortunately.

I prebooked and paid for our Group of 14 and once we arrived the train was close by the Cruise terminal and we boarded right on time that was allocated. The tour guide was excellant and everyone enjoyed the tour. The Lyvai tour was cheaper than the cruise boat. Unfortunately the cruise boat tours on the day with another company were cancelled due to some technicality leaving many without a tour. Fortunately many ofthese were looked after Lyvai on the day who have several trains working.

Such a bad experience. We had our booking for 4:00 pm. Once we arrived Noumea I went to redeem the tickets. The guy at the counter changed the time to 3:15 pm and never told me so, did not even ask if it was alright for me. I had my partner and kids doing line to exchange money and my understanding of 3:15 was the meeting time, not the departure of the train. I went back to the counter as of course, we missed the train, looking for some help. The guy was the most lack of respect person I have ever faced, he shouted in my face and said rudely it was not his problem. We ended up in a very low row arguing that as a customer, you shouldn't never experience. He gave us tickets for later but ,that's not the way to treat no one. Absolutely poor customer service that bittered my experience in the port. If it wasn't because I had not internet, no way to make a complaint I would have preferred the refund of the money. Pity the train tour was fine but I was soo incensed with all the episode with the counter's guy.

The worst Hop On Hop Off bus we’ve been on. We usually use these to gain an overview of the town, then get off at each stop- this trip was 3 stops 2 Lemon Bay and Aquarium! No commentary or even mentioning where we were, no idea of frequency of buses.
The bus itself must have come out of retirement and they forgot to grease the parts, the air con did not work and windows were all sealed, most disappointing as it was not indicative of other buses.

Our bus coordinator did give passengers some info and introduction to all the stops before each departure.
Same as when you board a plane, you have to pay attention and listen to the flight attendant's speech before take off.
Our sales team do explain to each customers where our buses alight and they also encourage people to take photos of the map displayed at our booth.

We decided on the Green Train as they had a good deal with the train and hop on hop off bus for $55 (AUS). The Green Train runs for approx 90 mins and takes you around the island, with one photo stop. David is very informative and funny. The Green Train is definitely worth the money, however, the hop on hop off was not. No maps are provided nor information/commentary as to where the bus will stop. We were told that buses run every 20-25 mins but there are no timetables provided.

🌴 Anse Vata bay 🌴 was damaged by 🌀Cyclone Lucas🌀 which destroyed many of our infrastructures but luckily without human casualties. That's why they are rebuilding the whole waterfront, once it's completed, rest assured our buses will be able to drop you off a bit further. Bought tickets online. When we collected out “bus pass” at the counter, was given tickets for the train instead, which we were unaware of. Got on the bus with no issues, however when we hopped off at the beach and attempted to hop back on, we were refused boarding as we had the “wrong” ticket. The EXTREMELY rude bus driver refused to help and refused to speak English. He literally kicked us off the bus and left us stranded at the beach. No wifi or roaming we were forced to go to a hotel and get them to order a taxi for us. The taxi didn’t accept VISA and we had no local currency. NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!! we eventually got back to the ticket office where they were apologetic and offered a full refund for the tickets but not the taxi. Wasted 3/4 of our time in Noumea trying to get transport and not miss our cruise ship leaving. Ticket sales staff were nice. All other staff rude. Seemed very disorganised

Hello, no we do not have a combination for both products, beware the Christmas trains starts only from December 18 to December 23 and also from 18:00 until 20:30.
If you come from a cruise ship it is recommended the tour in famous green train and not for that of Christmas.

Hi, our cruise is due to dock at 7am do you offer an earlier tour than 9:45am? We are hoping to do a snorkling tours afterwards. Or i see you also do a 1:15pm tour. But our ship leaves at 3pm. Does the 1:15pm tour get us back in time for the ship to leave at 3?

Hello, You can book the Duck Island activity is a fabulous stop for diving.
The duck island trip included Hop on Hop Off services only 15 mn from to the cruise ship terminal, and 10 mn on the water taxi boat.

Hi, We are on a cruise and have booked a morning tour with another company that will drop us back to the cruise port at 12pm. We want to buy the hop on and off pass so we can see the rest of the island in the afternoon - does anyone know if they buses will be at the cruise ports at this time to collect us and take us to the aquarium? thanks

you can buy a ticket for the Hop On Hop Off services (HOHO) for only $15AUD per adult or directly the aquairum trip which includes the entrance and the hop on hop off services.
Hop on Hop Off services starting at 8.30 am at the front to the cruise ship terminal until 4.00 pm.

I’ve been looking at booking the Aquarium & Hop on/Hop off package which is 2650 CFP per adult. If the Hop on/Hop off bus is 1030 CFP per adult, and aquarium 1500 CFP per adult (total 2530 CFP), what is the attraction in purchasing the bundled package? Have I got the prices incorrect? Thank you.

If booking on line for the green train, do you have to pick the time you want to get on or is it good for any of the departure times? Can you reserve for a specific time? How busy does it get on cruise ship days?

When you come in noumea just check the time at the green panel at the green train counter.

Thank you for your trust, yes we make guided tours by Green Train Tour of Nouméa, the duration is of 1H30 with 2 stops: the Ouen Toro Canon and FOL (At the top to Noumea City).
The price is $42 AUD (or $35 US) for the adults and $24 AUD (or $20 US) per child under 12 year-old.
You can pay in dollars AUD or USD or credit card.
From your arrival to Nouméa, the counter of sale manage you towards the Cruise Ship Terminal and is situated to the right.
Sorry you cannot reserve by internet yet, we have not set up a platform ONLINE .
Departure times are approximately: 09:15 am, 10:00 am, 10:45 am and 11:30 am for the morning ship and 3.30pm or 3.45 pm and 5.00 pm for the afternoon ship.
All trip offer at the cruise ship terminal Noumea New Caledonia:
- HOP ON HOP OFF: $20 AUD or $15 US per adult
