This center is a good place where different traditional handcrafts of Bahrain and mainly the pottery. Here workshops in ship making, pottery and painting are given. Nice place to visit and spend some time for general local knowlege.

Visited the place in April 2017 – lot of handicraft items made of clay includes pots, lamp shades..etc – the potters can be seen in action and the equipment is foot operated – the clay is mould to the shape required and is a definitely...More

Been to this place a few times but sadly it has been neglected. I hope the government pays little more attention to this nice traditional place which displays the old handicrafts of Bahrain.

We considered rating this a poor but then decided average fit better. There is a cashier at the entrance and then a dozen or so shops some with, some without clerks/owners. The crafts are indeed local but honestly, the baskets were pathetic, the chests nice...More
