Bottom line - unless you have plenty of time on your hands and for some reason do not want to spend it exploring the wonderful ruins themselves, take a pass on this. At 12 JD (more than $15) it's pricey and just not worth the...More

The roads for chariots were paved on a diagonal grid so that the wheels of the chariots didn't go inside the grooves . The roads were designed very well for 2 way traffic

The show was good and we could really see the actors make good effort to put up a nice show... But as other reviews indicated, the show was lackluster for most part. Couple of suggestions: - Add shade to sitting area so folks do not...More

I like reading about the Roman military, about Julius Caesar, Pompey etc. So I already knew most of the information the announcer told us during the performance. But it was still fantastic to actually see the formations and weapons in real life. You don't need...More

The sign is still outside the Hippodrome (I've uploaded a picture), but due to the regrettable decline in tourism in Jordan, this show is not taking place (not enough revenue to pay the cast & crew). With the problems in Syria, Iraq, etc, it’s unlikely...More

In spite of a website that says the chariot racing is still taking place , it is not. The day we went the site was heaving with hundreds of visitors but no chariot racing. A huge disappointment. There are still signs at the hippodrome but...More

Despite the books and signs at the site this tour doesn't exist therefore don't go expecting this. All I saw was a horse eating grass in the venue!
