We went there during a cold rainy day in December. I think that too made the difference. The entire road was covered with fog. As we parked outside the visitor gate, our driver Yousef ( highly recommend from the Amman Pasha Hotel), introduces us to...More

Very interesting tour at this Muslim castle, built in Saladin's age. It is very well maintained and according to all explanations, it was very important in that time, in the age of the Crusades. From the top you, can see Syria and Tiberias Lake.

I was very impressed with this place. Most sites like this in Jordan are not well maintained and full of rubbish. Not the Ajjoun Fort. Very well maintained. Clean. Tidy. Very well lit. Amazingly large rooms. Worth a visit.

A very interesting place. For a ruin it's mainly complete on the lower levels. The views from the top are stunning and worth taking in. Part of the jordan pass.

Small, but standing tall, overlooking three valleys and the vast expanses beyond...this 12th century structure is a compact, well preserved example of the classic fort/castle format. Built over what must have been sparse remains of a church and monastery (The mosaic floor and chapel structure,...More

Staying in Jerash this is a fairly simple 40min drive out of the city, good to tag on to a trip to the Jerash ruins. One of the few forts in the area not taken by the crusaders so relatively unique. You can walk the...More

The views here are breathtaking! I took a tour that really focused on the location of the fort to it’s success and you can really see why. It is a true eagles nest, you can see all around, almost clear to Israel. So gorgeous. Be...More
