Looking from the Mount of Olives at the Golden Gate was surreal for this pilgrim. Later I was able to walk beneath the gate and stand on the steps. You will love touring the ruins around this area. They are still finding artifacts here.

This is a beautiful gate with a Muslim Cemetery located just beneath. This gate will be of tremendous significance in the future. The best view is from the Mount of Olives.

I do not even know what is to be said about this gate. It is not accessible from outside for the tourists, and from inside is difficult to approach it too. It is well visible from Mt. of Olives, and is separated by this by...More

The beginning of the end: according to the Scriptures, at His second coming, Jesus will return to the Mount of Olives and enter Jerusalem by way of the re-opened Eastern Gate.

This gate is well seen from the Olive mountain. it is always closed. They say that only a Messiah can open it. Let us be patient and wait.

The Golden Gate is best viewed from outside the Old City walls. According to the Jews, the Messiah will enter the city only through this gate, so the Muslims walled it up in the 16th century.

While walking the length of the Old Ottoman city walls in the Muslim cemetery between Lions' Gate and Dung Gate, you reach this wonderful, blocked-up gate built to connect the Temple Mount with the world outside, but only when the Messiah comes. The walk is...More

If you are interested in end times, this gate is very important. For christians this is the gate the Messiah will enter. Interesting that there is a graveyard directly infront of it. You cannot walk among the graves, it is forbidden.
