This is the very gate that Christ will be going through at His second coming! He will stand on the Mount of Olives splitting it in two and go through the East Gate to begin His reign for the millennial kingdom!

Another must visit site even though surrounded by the Muslim cemetary but the biblical and archaeological history is great.

The Golden Gate can be seen clearly from the top of Mount of Olives or when you get over to Gethsamane you can see the Golden Gate very clearly in a distance, it is not used today but remains sealed up. According to the Bible...More

Too easy to miss if you've not researched or don't have a guide, but clearly visible when walking around the Old City walls, which I recommend doing as you'll experience all aspects of old and new Jerusalem. Great to see from the Mount of Olives.

The story tells it all our guide was excellent and explained the links of the prophecies of the many religions and hiow the gate was sealed so that the return of Jesus would not happen!

Great walk along the old ottoman city walls and through a Muslim cemetery with nice monuments. Just beware of people asking for $$ as a contribution, this is fake, it's free. If necessary, threaten to call the police, they will disappear quickly. According to legend...More
