very old monument and well maintained. And only after our guide informed we came to know that the road we were walking around the Obelisk is old Hippodrome. Our guide informed about the inscriptions from Roman Latin/Greek and obviously the Hieroglyphics.A very rich History.

The obelisk itself is not that great, the only reason to visit it is that it is right opposite the blue mosque entrance - and at that point why not swing by it. I would not expect too much out of this one.
