First time traveling in Mongolia and would not have it any other way. We travelled as a group of five and our tour guide Gira and driver made us feel so comfortable even driving through off-roads in the snow. One portion required us to ride horses for 3-4 hours too - what a core memory!
The 10-day itinerary was smoothly planned such that we could manage to see so many sites. Among those are Amarbayasgalant Monastery, Murun City, horse herd family in Taiga, Tsaatan camp and Khuvsgul lake, guesthouses, a viewpoint. We could stop the van whenever we want to take pictures and could also flexibly suggest a location along the way! Any questions we had about Mongolian way of life was also answered, even including finding a tattoo artist in Ulaanbaatar.
Traversing large distances and in the wilderness with the Mongolian Steppes in the background has definitely made all of us bond like a team to enjoy the simple moments together. We didn’t need to stress about anything as they also cooked yummy food :)
It was the best vibes with Gira and everyone :)

I did a 21 day tour, from the Gobi to the Northern Tiaga. Bat badrach (I probably butchered the spelling, he just says to call him Henry) held my hand for months setting up this Solo tour. He arranged the best possible driver and guide, and allowed me to customize the itinerary based on my interests. Not for wimps, but it was probably one of the biggest adventures of my life. I saw other travelers with other companies that were stranded with no English-speaking guides, others that had several different guides over a short period of time. I had the same Guide and driver for the entire time and it made life so much better. I preferred less populated and quieter camps, and they made an effort to seek them out. Felt like family by the time we separated. Very reasonable price. Do not skip the reindeer valley. Absolutely do it.

We came across Tengri Tours during our research and their itinerary "Mongolian Odyssey: From Gobi to Heartland 10 Days Tour" covered the sights and segments we wanted. Badrakh was prompt in his responses and very accommodating with our multiple requests as I was recovering from a medical condition. We, just 2 of us, travelled in end Aug/Sept, slightly off peak season where the weather is still warm.
Our guide Baikal and driver Ganzo really took care of us during the trip, ensuring that we were comfortable, eat and slept well. We felt really secured and safe with them, had many funny moments too!
Apart from the stunning landscapes which took our breath away, both Baikal and Ganzo as well as our many hosts welcomed us warmly sharing the Mongolian culture and way of live with geninue openness. A trip that is very personal and unique for us, so much so that we are still reminiscing and plan to explore another part of Mongolia's beautiful landscape in another season!

Did a 5 persons trip with Gira as my guide.
It was an absolute blast! Stuck together for so many days. We all clicked so well. Thank you Gira for cooking for us, guiding our horses, climbing and sharing your many stories.
Gira is proficient in English so no worries about miscommunication. She took great care of us, bonding us solo travellers to become good friends after the trip.
Thank you so much Gira!

Thank you so much for this lovely message! I had an absolute blast with your group too—it really felt like we were all in it together, like a little family by the end. Cooking for you, guiding the horses, climbing, and sharing stories—it was such a joy spending those days with you all.
I’m so happy to hear that you all bonded and became friends—it’s one of the best parts of these trips, seeing solo travelers come together like that. I’m just glad I could be part of the experience and make it special for you.
Hope to see you back in Mongolia someday!
Warmly,
Gira

It was an 11-day trip to visit the Taiga reindeer family up in the north. Every day was a long ride with pit stops to take in the beautiful scenery. As we traveled further up north, the accommodation and amenities became more and more basic. The guides' care and support were fantastic. Gira and Unuruu are friendly, knowledgeable and really took care of us. They made the cold weather and long journey bearable. The final stretch to reach the reindeer family was 6 hours' worth of horseback riding. Depending on the group, the hours may differ. The view, the journey and the culture are best experienced in person. Pictures don't cut it.

Thank you for sharing this! I’m so glad you enjoyed the journey to the Taiga—it’s definitely an adventure like no other. The long rides and simple accommodations can be challenging, but I’m happy we could make it comfortable and memorable for you.
The 6-hour horseback ride to the reindeer family is always such a highlight—it’s tough but so worth it once you arrive. You’re right, the beauty and culture of the Taiga are something you have to experience in person; no picture can capture it fully.
It was a pleasure traveling with you, and I hope we’ll meet again for another adventure!
Warmly,
Gira and Henry

We had a very impressive and exciting time in Mongolia on our 14-day tour, which Henry (Tengri Tours) put together according to our wishes. The preliminary discussion and communication with Henry was always smooth and courteous. Henry was always available for us, even when we were on the road. He is a committed and upbeat organizer whom we are happy to recommend.
The tour includes a wide range of accommodation from family gers to tourist camps. There is something for every taste. A prior arrangement with Henry makes it possible to get to know the Mongolian culture in the Gers and to enjoy a hot shower in between.

7 Days trip to Gobi Desert & More!
My top 1 favourite trip of my life 🩵
really enjoyed every single part of my trip and especially my time at our guide’s house~ I think the bond and time shared with both our guide, Gira and the driver made the trip even better! I’m thankful that we crossed path and honestly, I don’t go by a single day wishing I could go back to Mongolia again🥲 thankful for Gira for dealing with our horrific random laughter throughout the whole trip and me holding on tightly to her hands just cause I’m afraid of heights😶
Also big thanks to Gira for making me home remedy drink every day for my very bad tummy issues during the first half of the trip !
Love every single part of our trip~ Looking forward to be back again and this time a different part of Mongolia, and of course (hopefully) with the best guide, Gira ❣️

We had an incredible 3-day adventure with Tengri Tours, exploring Terelj National Park and Central Mongolia. The trip was perfectly organized by Mr. Bat Badrach ("Henry"), who responded quickly to all our inquiries and tailored the itinerary to suit our interests.
Our journey started with Terelj National Park, and the views were breathtaking. We visited Turtle Rock, hiked in the beautiful valleys, and had the chance to experience Mongolia's natural beauty up close. Our guide, Tamir, was very knowledgeable, sharing insights about the landscape, Mongolian history, and culture, which made our trip even more enriching. Bolor, our driver, was excellent, ensuring we felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey.
The second and third days took us through the heart of Central Mongolia. We visited ancient monasteries, explored local villages, and experienced traditional Mongolian hospitality. Staying in a ger camp was a highlight—sleeping in the traditional felt tents gave us a true taste of Mongolian life. We also had the chance to meet local families, which was an incredibly personal and memorable experience.
Tamir and Bolor made us feel like we were traveling with friends, and we laughed a lot along the way. The entire trip was well-paced, and every moment felt special. The pricing was reasonable for the high-quality service, and we left with wonderful memories and a deep appreciation for Mongolia.
We highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to experience Mongolia's stunning nature and rich culture. We’re already thinking about our next adventure with Tengri Tours!
