The Buddha Park was put together in 1958 by a priest-shaman named Bunleua Sulilat. Also know as Xieng Khuan (Spirit City) is 25 KM outside Vientiane and roughly 45 to 60 minutes drive by tuk tuk but worth the time. It’s a park/gardens nicely decorated...More

The park is small and it takes longer to get there than to actually se the park. But there is not that many attractions in Vientiane so it's a must do.

After reading very mixed reviews we decided to go and see Buddha Park for ourselves. Intended to catch the local #14 bus but ended up with a tuk tuk for 250,000 kip return so we could make a couple of additional stops (not bad value)....More

If you have a morning to spare, you should take a trip to Buddha Park. The statues can be bizarre, but are very interesting to look at. Set out early in the morning, as it can get unbearably warm on a sunny day. Also, most...More

If it's part of a tour then it's O.K. but not worth making the effort under your own steam. I think it's one of those 'where else can we take the tourists?' A park of Hindu & Buddhist statues, most of which aren't particularly old,...More

Loads of amazing statues and sculptures, much smaller than we expected it to be but still well worth a visit if you’ve got the cash for the taxi there and back (300,000 kip return)

Interesting sculpture park with many different kinds of Buddhas and other figures. You can take a taxi or the local bus out for just a few hours or less and get the experience. Worth it if you have a half day free.

Buddha Park is far from the city. Buddha statues of different posture and different sizes are the main theme of this park.

This is a complex of sculptures of Buddhist and Hindu God's. The area is basically a picnicking place next to the Mekong river other side of the river is Thailand.
