Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having seen this bridge before, took a cab to see it again as the drive there (better by motorbike to enjoy the scenery) is nice in that you see the coastal flats, paddies, and the mountains to the west. However, upon arrival the bridge had been completely removed and the remaining bridge supports. Makes one seriously question the authenticity of the bridge. Very little remained and the surrounding businesses were all boarded up. Apparently, the taxi driver knew it was closed and didn't other sharing that until we arrived. Obviously many people have fallen on hard times with the effects of COVID-19 on tourism, but alittle transparency goes a long way.
Avoid for now, or be sure to ask locals ahead of time if the bridge is even still there.
Waste of time presently. There's nothing old or 18th century-ish about it now.

This is a pretty wooden bridge built by a local woman. Carvings on the pillars are pretty. It’s in use by locals. There were several old people sitting, resting and selling souvenirs on the bridge.
This bridge is located outside of Hue central area so you need to arrange a ride to come here. We asked a tour guide to stop by here in an original tour which didn’t include here. Of course we paid extra.

It's just a small wooden bridge with a long history, somewhat similar in nature to the Japanese Bridge in Hoi An. We were there only for a short while in the afternoon and there was nothing much to see besides the bridge. It's outside of town and if you are not on the way, then you can give it a miss or time to arrive for the morning when the market is bustling and you can see experience the town with the bridge which will be more beneficial.

I'm going to try to be as fair as I can. It does not have any kind of construction that you cannot see elsewhere. It is not overly ornate or colourful. It's not particularly long, tall, or wide. I struggled to get excited by it. However, it does seem to be on most Hue tourist tours. Whilst we visited a local lady offered to sign a traditional Vietnamese song which made the visit a bit more unique (made me up the review to VG). Not sure I can really encourage anyone to visit though, it is quite a way out of town.

The bridge is 17 metres long and 4 metres wide. On both sides of the bridge, lengths are 2 rows of wooden flat forms and parapets for people to lean their backs. The roofs of the bridges in the north are made of flat tiles and in the centre are made of tube tiles. It is a great place to observe rural life, and is often full of locals escaping the sun.

Nothing impressive to be honest, but we decided to give it a look since it was on our way back to Hoi An. Nice to get some pics, if not many people.

Honestly... you really wonder how such a beauty landed in a remote village like this.
The bridge is really nice with great carvings and will offer you great photos options.
You may enjoy the visit to the village market if you reach early morning

Very charming small village with some very scenic surrounding areas. The bridge was apparently built in 1776 the same year the US declared independence from England. The bridge itself is very small but has a lot of character. I suppose some may be disappointed by a visit but I thought it worthwhile.

I took a half-day afternoon tour with the backpackers hostel and it was beautiful. We drove through rice fields and my driver took me to this bridge and a couple of out-of-the-way pagodas. We also went to bunker hill and the panoramic view is amazing.

On our way from Hue to Hoi An, we asked our driver to make a quick stop here for some photographs. We arrived before 9 am and there were few people here. The road getting to this bridge was quite bumpy though.
If it is on the way, it is well worth a quick stop.
