Amazing Cocktails, City Lights & Dream Views...End Off!
Nov 2019
One word OMG! Saigon Skydeck of the Bitexco Financial Tower is located in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Magic happens after sunset casting it’s spell in a rainbow of colours igniting city life. Nothing beats sweeping views of skylines and you can’t get better than this. The Observation Deck on the 49th floor and EON Heli Bar on the 52nd floor is wrapped around in glass showcasing magnificent views from all angles.

The sleek modern exterior speaks volumes and the surrounding area is full of good vibes, restaurants, cafes and groups of social butterflies gathered around. We came here twice, simply because you have to! (once with my friend the other with a tour group). The building dominates the skyline, inside it’s clean lines and calm interior welcomes visitors. We were greeted by polite reception staff, welcoming in true Vietnamese style, smartly presented showing professionalism and well spoken. Their friendliness and gentle demeanour reassures any weary traveller they are in a good place, to be sipping exotic cocktails and watching the world go by. We took the lift and were led by staff to the bar area on the 52nd floor. Lovely cosy atmosphere with dim lighting and relaxed seating.

Once settled and orders in, we admired the alluring beauty of the city. Service a little slow but I guess staff were a little overwhelmed with a large boisterous tour group. Luckily Tony, our Vietnamese guide, quickly restored normality in his confident and calm nature.

A feeling of ‘sky’s the limit’ comes to mind on entering the observation tower. Saigon unveils it’s explosion of colours by night, tall sparkling neon buildings with changing sprinkles of light dominate the hustle and bustle of this fast pace city. Pick through a creative cocktails menu (it’s not expensive, if your budget conscious then your in the wrong place!) prices reflect the ambience of this very modern elegant and sophisticated viewing point. Savour the moment and admire the beauty of twinkling lights and a tangle mess of traffic down below, adding to fun and exciting photo opportunities. In the distance watch the calm surface of Song Sai Gon River as it meanders along in it’s strikingly glassy appearance. Unfortunately, within the building there are no openings to take pictures without the light bouncing off the glass, but nothing to get stressed about just click away, you can still get great shots.

Contrast of daytime views would differ significantly which we didn’t get to experience, and a return visit is on the cards, disappointing not to have caught the sunset and sample the food either. There are different layers to this building i.e. bar, restaurant, entertainment and observation deck all worth exploring, you’ll take away an unforgettable experience. This was a perfect end to a hectic day of sight-seeing, just relaxing and admiring the magical glows of the city lights, enjoyed with a selection of tropical drinks.

The cocktails are delicious and you will be spoilt for choice! we wondered round to the bar area and watched a flurry of activity from staff busy shaking, stirring and skilfully pouring drinks in elegant glasses. A brightly lit bar in tones of pinks and purples flowed into the seating area giving an upbeat and fun vibe, almost like a disco lol!

Points worth noting: Entrance Fee: $9 USD, Closing Time: 9.00pm, Last Entry: 8.45pm, Dress Code: Smart/Casual, Length of Time: 3-4 hours if your having a meal and drinks, Not recommended for anyone who has fear of heights.

Our evening ended with sparkle and joy, leaving echoes of fun and laughter fading into the night sky. Cheers to Tony who help rescue a complicated drinks bill!. A high recommendation is up there for anyone wanting to unwind and leave with a treasured memory. Thank you to all staff at the Saigon Skydeck for their warm hospitality and memorable visits. Indu.

The views at the top of the tower are exceptional - just make sure you don't forget your camera- and if you don't have a head for heights; forget it.

Heineken Tour and Sundown
Nov 2019 • Friends
One of the most memorable experience I had on a tall tower. This is the 3rd tower I went to. The place was not jam-packed. Sunset was awesome that photos cannot justify it's beauty. We can see the city from atop of the tower.

Heineken tour was just as fun. Had 2 glasses of draft beer and 1 bottle with our names on it. It just cost around 500.00 in Philippine Peso.

Great views
Jan 2020 • Couples
On a day excursion from our cruise ship, dropped off here as the meeting point to return, we decided to go straight in about 10 am so not to busy, paid 200,000 Vietnamese Dong which is about £7 to go to the 49 th floor, 178 metres sky deck giving you fantastic 360% views of the city’s buildings and Saigon river. This is Vietnam’s tallest building at 262 metres , 68 floors.
