The entire show is in Vietnamese so we had no idea what was actually going on. That said the skill involved and the music/singing with it were both awesome. I would definitely recommend going to see it if you are in Hanoi.

When travelling to other countries we always try to do something that is traditional to it. This show is exactly that, tells various stories of the local area and history through the water puppets. My wife had read that this was meant to be a...More

We were told to check this out and enjoyed the music, culture and artistry of the show. We didn't really understand what was going on as it was all in Vietnamese but definitely was a spectacle. It could have been a little shorter but the...More

What a great show: Live music, amazingly funny puppetry, great athmosphere. Book early to get seats in the middle and watch out if you have long legs :)

Like the other reviewers the story is hard to follow as there are not English narrative or description. Having said that you can’t but help marvel at the skill of the puppeteer and also the musicians. It was not expensive - adult ticket 100,000 VND....More

We liked the puppet show! It was in Vietnamese with a bit of English translation at the beginning. It's great for the entire household! There is a live band there giving the music for the show too. They make use of traditional instruments.

A very vietnamese experience. The water puppet show is a good chance to watch something different. The introduction to each mini show is in English but all the language in the actual shows are in vietnamese. It doesnt matter, you do get a sense of...More

We booked our tickets through our hotel, you cannot book online. You can buy before performance at box office, reservation not mandatory, but good idea.
