Some cities have a place that just naturally draws people in and this lake is one of those places. It became our place to walk around after dinner, our land mark to walk to when we got lost in the labrinth of streets and shops,...More

Starting off with the lake: it's lovely and tranquil, very photogenic. With many trees with their branches dancing into the still water. It's a pleasant ant not strenuous walk around it, but the midday heat should be avoided. You can cross the Red Bridge to...More

We walked around the Old Quarter in Hanoi and then made our way to the Hoan Kiem Lake. It’s a very nice attraction and is surrounded by plenty of other things to do such as the water puppet theatre, Hoa Lo prison and St Joseph’s...More

It was walking distance from the hotel I stayed in and it was chilled early in the morning. Good running spot but the poor air around due to the city.

After arriving at our nearby Hanoi hotel on a Friday afternoon, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the roads around the entire lake become a pedestrian zone on the weekends. This made for a much more relaxing stroll around, and we enjoyed joining the...More
