Contrary to our comical name, The Terrible Tour Guide Travel is a team of young and dedicated locals that aims to create good vibes and lasting fun memories to our guests by bringing them to the non-touristy rural outskirts of Vietnam through customizable holiday packages. If you have limited time for your trip planning and if you want to enjoy the journey as a life enriching experience away from all tourist traps, we invite you to travel with us! We have a range of unique and exclusive tours that only we can organize. The tours are not to be published yet and can be sent to your through private email. We booked an extremely last minute tour with The Terrible Tourguide - contacted them day before we wanted to start! In just a few hours, Joey put together an itinerary for us, and arranged a driver and guide to pick us up the next morning in Tam Coc. Our guide Hezekiah and driver Thang were both really superb, and the tour of Ha Giang met and surpassed our hopes and expectations - it's a spectacular destination. We also made a number of changes on the fly during the trip and Joey was accommodating and quick to adjust.

My family of 7 enjoyed our recent trip to HCM, Da Nanang and Hoi An with the package tours organized by The Terrible Tour Guide Travel. The tour guides were very professional, knowledgeable and polite. Even the drivers were very careful on the road, despite the very heavy traffic in HCM. Kudos to all of them. AAAA++++ rating.

My whole trip in Hanoi was organised by the terrible tour guide.
The biggest help Joey did was helping me getting my visa in time and the best communication I have ever had with a travel agency. They cleared all my concerns, and arranged everything professionally. The transport arranged was really really comfortable, plus the tour guides were also really knowledgeable.
I really thankful for their services and also recommend it to all other people.

I had the best tour of Hanoi with the Terrible Tour Guide 👏🏾. The communication was smooth and they delivered on their promises.

We have booked a 8 day tour from USA to visit Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Sapa and Cao Bang. The company offered the best plan to make each of our day memorable. The plan was carefully executed by joey with his prompt on-ground to make out trip seamless. All the detailed trip plan was ran smoothly with great coordination to avoid any mishaps. On-time cab delivery anh great accommodations were offered to make the trip enjoyable. We have enjoyed every day and each destination thanks to the beautiful country, peaceful culture and friendly people. We highly recommend Chi as your tour guide in Vietnam for their personalized assistance and value-driven approach.

We went with the Trekking Sapa & Conquer The Roof of Indochina itinerary as it included all the train and accommodation transfers which made it fuss free. Right from the start, Joey was super speedy with his responses and answered all the queries we had. We had absolutely no issues with the train tickets and accommodation transfers. The sleeper train was an experience we wanted to try despite many mixed reviews we read about it in general. We were pleasantly surprised with the sleeper train in terms of cleanliness and some of us actually managed to get a decent sleep. The highlight of the trip was definitely the 2D1N Fansipan hike - we were lucky that the view was amazing on the morning we summited! The inn staff was also very attentive and helpful. Perhaps a small point to note - hiking sticks and headlamp was not provided and we forgot to bring as well. Would advise bringing your own. Overall would highly recommend going with them, they are everything but terrible!

Excellent! We arranged a private trip to north Vietnam with the Terrible Tour, covering Sapa and Ha Giang
From the planning of the itinerary, the many changes, we have been getting very prompt responses.
On the trip itself, the coordination, timing, meals and all have been carefully communicated and planned. Since the roads in the north seems unpredictable with the road works, Chi, our guide, always asked when things, (usu time) don't go as planned - for eg, should we stop for meals first or continue to the next destination
Special mention also for his help us find a shop to buy an ankle guard, as my hubby arrived with an injured ankle. We had to check several shops before finding one. Thank you for your patience Chi, though we were running out of time, heading for the train to Sapa.
On our climb up Fansipan, we were really thankful that he and the local guide Sai (sorry this may not be the correct spelling) discussed and suggested that we have another porter. It's a 2D1N hike, they carried all the food supply plus our bags, easing our load so we can just focus on the hike. Appreciate that thoughtfulness! The hotpot up the mountain is something that we will remember forever!
Driver is skilful, maneuvring through the windy mountain roads over extended hours. Thank you!
On the whole, we enjoyed our trip! Appreciate all the seamless coordination guys!

I would highly recommend Joey to assist with your Vietnam visa application process. He is quick to respond to questions and he explains everything very clearly. They assisted me to apply for a visa approval letter and I received my letter quicker than the expected turnaround time. I was very impressed with the level of service I received and would definitely recommend using their services. They are the best!

We had a great experience with this travel agent when we used their service to obtain an invitation letter for a Chinese passport holder. The agent was always quick to respond, and their service was both fast and reliable.
We also booked a Halong Bay tour with them, which turned out to be fantastic! We would definitely recommend this travel agent to anyone, not only for their exceptional service, but also for their ability to provide an excellent travel experience.

We did the 3 days 2 night2 Ba Be trip in September and we highly recommend it. It's an amazing place & everything was perfect. Delicious food, comfortable transport, lovely accommodation & incredibly friendly guide Chi. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!
