If you are traveling to Koh Yao Yai, you must go and eat at Manee Seafood. The food is one of the best. The taste is amazing, the best yellow curry crab ever!!! And there is Wi-Fi

My husband and I just spent three nights there, because we wanted to try some place different. It is true that the island is very quiet and not touristy, but there were VERY limited options for places to eat. We stayed in a midrange hotel....More

This is a muslim island, making ot somewhat different from other Thai islands. There are some huge superexpensive 5-star resorts, but other than these, the island is approachable, the beaches were mostly empty in February and you can relax and enjoy nature in its purest...More

I almost want to keep this place off the tourist radar. Koh Yao Yai is still very quiet and peaceful compared to many of the other islands. Development appears to be coning but still quite peaceful and natural. Lets hope that lasts!!!

If you're looking to stay somewhere not touched by the western tourist industry, this is it. Very quiet, and relaxed. The people who live here are truly lovely. Limited cars, so scooters are the main form of transport. Beaches in south are glorious and there...More
