Didn't leave our resort "TreeHouse Villas", but absolutely loved out stay here. Fabulous kayaking and lovely people. We were there in the rainy season, but it was fine, mostly raining at night. Easy 40 minute trip from the mainland.

great place to stay that is not westernised or commercial. Locals are lovely and there are all the services you need like medical centre, police, 7 Eleven and local food stalls, restaurants and massage. Nice beach

If you are traveling to Koh Yao Yai, you must go and eat at Manee Seafood. The food is one of the best. The taste is amazing, the best yellow curry crab ever!!! And there is Wi-Fi

This is a muslim island, making ot somewhat different from other Thai islands. There are some huge superexpensive 5-star resorts, but other than these, the island is approachable, the beaches were mostly empty in February and you can relax and enjoy nature in its purest...More

Hello! I'm actually on Koh Yao Yai. I would recommend to go there by boat from Phuket (Bang Rong Peer near the Airport). You can book it directly there. On Koh Yao Yai I would definitely give the advice to rent a motorbike... More
