Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Rue a sens unique allant de Pattaya nord à Walking street. Si vous y aller la nuit, soyez accompagné sir vous marchez du côté de la mer car mal famée. A noter que la plage est de plus en plus petite année après année.
One way street from North Pattaya to Walking street. If you go there at night, be accompanied if you walk on the sea side because it is infamous. Note that the beach is getting smaller and smaller year after year.

The apt-named "Beach Road" runs the distance along Pattaya beach and is flanked on one side with a wide array of restaurants, pubs and massage shops, and with the beach on the other side. The road is pleasant enough during the day (albeit a little raucous at times), but in the evening/night it becomes a massive meat market. I have a high tolerance for sleaze, but the number and characteristics of the hundreds (thousands?) of freelancers plying their trade along Beach Road at night is a bit much even for me. So sad to see the huge numbers of very young on one hand, and the older and "over-the-hill" on the other hand. Even more bothersome is is the disgusting behavior and disrespect that some men display toward the working girls. And stomach churning to see entanglements involving children. It's easy to see why Pattaya is reputed to be one of the world's sleaziest cities!

Walk along here for the experience, but I would not engage with anyone. All want something from you and place is not suitable for walking after dark. Do not buy drugs here or engage in talks with ladies of the night. Plenty of other places that are safer for the tourist to stroll. Be careful and watch yourself.

Toooo many tourists, go here only if you enjoy crowded places & beaches. Not a place for serenity or calm beach experience. Too many beach side shops & sellers to disturb you throughout.

Walked Beach Road every day for a month. Always something going on and enjoyed the exercise park and the plastic bottle animals.

Also enjoyed the Beach Festival and the Jomtien Night Market.

I have been to Beach Road numerous times during my multiple visits to Pattaya. Beach Road isn’t really about the beach, or the road. It’s about the atmosphere that is created by both of them in this location. See it for what it is. Enjoy the parts you want to enjoy and avoid the parts you don’t. But definitely give it a visit. While you are there, I can recommend a wonderful spot to relax, have a bite to eat, and have a beer. Stop into stand #115 for fantastic service. Heck, you can even get a massage and have your nails done!

If you're looking to spend a pleasant day on the beach, go to Jomtien beach. Even after the addition of what feels like builder's sand, this is not my idea of a pleasant beach.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, etc. but few are particularly attractive and quite a few are expensive.

Honestly not my scene but worthy of a look.
Too much disruption from road works that seem constant.
The bars and the raz are better at night.
Some obviously open all the time.
Beach leads to walking street.
Also a great nighttime experience.

Pattaya beach road gets you on the beach. You can walk in the water or sidewalk but still just as much fun.
Carts selling coconut, fruits etc on your way.
A little noisy and busy road with cars and motorcycles driving by but after a while that noice fades away with the view and the feel of the warm sand on your feet.

We visited Pattaya during the new year water festival. The beach road is a lot of fun during the water festival. People were squirting us with water guns from cars, busses, trucks, bars and on foot from morning till night. Many people are on the street selling plastic covers that you can put your phone in to keep from getting wet.

There’s plenary of restaurants and some good markets that are set up during the evening.

I really enjoyed beach road but beware if travelling in April you will not get home dry.
