It wasn't an elephant park it was a organic farm that had 4 elephants, (2 mothers and 2 babies) They weren't chained and there were no cages. There is a big log coral area but I doubt it would stop them if they really wanted... More
It wasn't an elephant park it was a organic farm that had 4 elephants, (2 mothers and 2 babies) They weren't chained and there were no cages. There is a big log coral area but I doubt it would stop them if they really wanted to leave. You don't ride the elephants, just feed them, walk next to them, bath them in the dam and then play with them.There was a couple of cats, a dog and some type of cattle ( oh and mozzies (mosquitos) and a few small sand fly type insects so take some repellent )
The elephants though was the best part of the day,
The butterfly/orchid farm (not much),
The Karen village (commercial
The waterfall (not really worth the walk but ok)
The rafting (ok)
Lunch (simple but enjoyable)
and the guide ( super friendly, easy going and obviously cares about the elephants and their well being).
