As you approach this temple sitting high above the city of Chiang Mai it certainly does not fail to impress. A gold statue of Buddha stand towering high into the sky and as the sun shone down it was blinding at times. The temple was...More

I had a good time with my ex-boss (retired official of UNHCR Thailand) at Wath Prah That Doi Kham! My Boss (Catholic) and his wife (Buddhist) took me here in September 2016 (but date selection allowed only from 2017). A nice temple on the top...More

Lost for hundreds of years, Wat Doi Kahn is 1300 years old. Popular with locals, with two of the tallest Buddhas in Chiang Mai. Crowded on holidays and festivals.

One of the best temples in Chiang Mai, about 30 min by car. Totally worth to visit. Very interesting. Beautiful lighting in the evening.

We read about doi suthep temple everywhere on the internet. They said if you haven't seen this one, you haven't seen Chiang Mai. Consequently, we went there with a scooter. We were a bit disappointed, especially because we already had been to Bangkok. After this,...More
