A little slice of calm in the center of town, this Hindu shrine is situated on a busy junction. Always teeming with worshippers, it’s a photogenic spot where incense constantly burns and traditional Thai dancers in full costume are often found.

I thought 200 baht also includes the brids as offerings. And NO ! They offered me one cage to open and asked me for 1000 baht!! It was basically a scam. I found out later that flowers and sticks were only 50 baht.

Worth a short stop, a contrast with the surrounding chaos and commercialism, this shrine offers a reprise of sorts. Still....many walking tours stop by and continual monetary offerings collected along with vendors hawking goods near the entrance. I am not sure about daily schedule but...More

Must see when you visit Bangkok. If you like to avoid crowded people, you may stand from Skytrain bridge.

I didn't know the exact reason. At first, I was looking for the lit candle for the joystick, and I found nothing until I saw the notice. It stated it is for health reason and pollution.
