She represents an eclectic array of Ghanaian artists and traces the evolution of Ghanaian art from the formally trained artitists of Kumasi University. Many developed their individual schools of art. Now you see their impact and the diversity of expression represented by self taught artists. A wonderful place to explore Ghanaian art.

The Loom is a long way from the normal tourist area and I walked there from Osu! I get there and on the door is their "new" hours: "Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10.30-2.30". And I was there on a Friday and about 1 pm. NOT OPEN!!!!

We stopped hear on our last day and found beautfiul, reasonably priced paintings to take home. The 90 year old mother and her son who run it are lovely, and we really enjoyed chatting with them and learning about all of the artists they represent.

Just South off Kwame Nkrumah Circle, this art gallery has a nice selection of local painters, whose portfolio's you can look though for affordable pictures. I never fail to buy something here...
