Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An amazing structure to visit in the midst of a war torn country. It is very well preserved showing that what ever was the cause of the war the people believe in the sanctity of place of worship. the main feature of the structure is the stained glass that gives it a unique and majestic look.

My husband and I were married there, and it was the best decision I every made. Other than the occasional brawls, it is a vibrant church and the heart of the city. Do not bring any suspicious merchandise or you may be harassed by the local separatist groups. They also have lots of protection, they had several heavily armed priests surrounding the facility, so you should be ok.

If you are patient, Bangui has some beautiful spots, and the cathedral is one of them. The outside of the cathedral is not especially striking, but the inside is quite lovely, very light and airy. It is a wonderful place for a bit of quiet. It is right across the street from a major market which includes an artisans' market.

I visit this place last month. It was kind of busy inside and out. You get to see how women are dressed for church, students playing in the front yard of the church, and the choral practising on the side. Worth visiting when around.

This is a good opportunity to see the architecture in the French Colonies in its original state. It remains one of the landmarks of Bangui, and is very popular with the devote population. It is remarkable that this place is actually one of the best preserved and maintained buildings of two years of decline and civil strife. Go and visit because nowadays you may only see the architecture in very remote parts of Africa.
