    AWESOME
Kilimanjaro climb - Lemosho route excellent and reliable. Everything worked very well from the beginning, the guides are super proffessional I am pleased to say our expectations were not only met but exceeded. Each stage was briefed fantastically from the office to the mountain, to say the least we were kept up to date. Amazing service throughout the whole trip, guides and porters worked extremely hard to make sure we got to the top. Really enjoyed the whole process and the trip, the crew made the trip a lot easier and enjoyable. I would love to say big thank to all of our porters and guides. Everything was on the highest level of organization! Highest level of safety ! Very involved and passionate team. Thank you so much mboni adventures

BEST company on the Mt. Kilimanjaro We had an amazing experience with Tanzania Horizon Safaris!!
My husband and I did a 5 day Safari, followed by the 7 day Lemosho Route on Kili and had the most amazing time! From the very first moment of contact, starting organizing our trip to Tanzania, to the very last moment, being dropped off at the airport, Tanzania Horizon Safaris made sure everything was superbly well organized and taken care of.The porters, chef and the entire mountain team were very friendly, professional and ensured we were well looked after during our climb. Our head guides Daniel and Godwin were very professional, encouraging and had a great sense of humour. All of the assistant guides were so positive and supportive, getting us up and down especially on summit night! The cooks made sure all dietary requirements were catered for and gave us the energy we needed to summit. The porters made Kili seem easy as they practically ran up the mountain balancing bags on their heads and singing along. Each day we got to camp with everything prepared which felt like luxury.  Our 5-day safari tour to Serengeti and Ngorongoro was a journey of our lifetime! Thank you so much to the Tanzania Horizon Safaris Team for making this happen,  The safari was an impressive experience with Joel, our guide, very kind and professional with huge knowledge of flora & fauna as well as the country and its traditions. We highly recommend the full experience. I salute every single one of the crew that took us up - we couldn’t have done it without you. You’ll be remembered forever!!

Chumia African travel did tremendous job
We did a remarkable trip with a Tanzania local company Chumia African Travel. We booked our trip to Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro back in October last year. The trip has exceeded our expectations. We climbed Mount Kilimanjaro via Lemosho route for 8 days and we had the best trip in my life. Very reasonable price, super good services and arrangements, responsible and professional team. They sent us enough details and they promptly responded to all of our questions tirelessly. During a trip food was plenty and delicious cooked by our best cook Mr. Ndama. Honestly, after the trek we gave a crew some tips but it was nothing compared to the hard and very organized work they did. To us Kilimanjaro is a place to be again and again when you have a best crew and a company. As a traveler one thing you need to know which surprised me was the number of people in a crew you climb with. For us two we had a crew of 10 people. Before trek we were surprised but during trek we realized it worth the number of people. I can not recommend enough Chumia African Travel.

My best experience in Kilimanjaro climbing with Nafika Tours
My 17 years old son, friends and I completed the 7 day Machame route Mount Kilimanjaro Trek with Nafika Tours a local company in Moshi Tanzania. We had an excellent experience and I have already recommended Nafika Tours to many friends and co-workers. I researched many travel companies prior but Nafika Tours became the best for my Kilimanjaro climb. I had 8 months to plan and I'm very satisfied with my experience with Nafika. They keep you posted with your itinerary and gear needed as soon as you email them. They pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel. They go through your gear prior to starting your hike and they want you to be successful. Everything they do is geared toward you being successful and summit that mountain. The Nafika Tours team, equipment, structure and safety protocols were exceptional. The food created everyday by the chef was amazing and with a good variety and the camp management, porters and rest of the support team were brilliant. Our guides were; Abdi , Justine and Joseph and I'm very sorry if I forgot any others.Justine is the boss and he ran the show, I cannot say enough about Justine , much respect to that man. I cant forget Ibrahimu in the kitchen, always there and always working hard. Our group had 10 people and we all successfully made it to the top with the awesome guidance of our Nafika Tours staff. I highly recommend Nafika Tours to climb Kilimanjaro and Tanzania safari

absolutely amazing experience with Chumia african travel
we are a group of 4 people who chose to do 7 days Machame route with Chumia African after being recommended with our friend who did the same program in 2019. we had an absolutely amazing experience. Our guide Bakari was very professional with a lot of experience of the mountain, flora and fauna and the Tanzania culture especially a chaga tribe located on the slope of mount Kilimanjaro. he was always fun and in a good mood which made our trek is very easy. our chief, Salim, very kind and calm guy with a 5-star cooking experience cook very nice food and delicious food and he even prepared many alternative vegetarian foods for me as well. Kilimanjaro is a very nice breath taking place to if it is not on your bucket list please add it. I highly recommend mount Kilimanjaro as a place to visit and I highly recommend this operator, chumia African travel.

    Adventure Kilimanjaro
The one thing I would say is to enjoy each day and the hike in that moment. Don't think about the next day, just enjoy the moment as the hikes are beautiful. As for summit nught/day, just remember to "put one foot in front of the other" and you will get to the top when the sun rises. Listen to your guides along the way as they know more than you. Our guide has summited over 250 times so I'm thinking he knew what he was doing and wants to give everyone best odds of making it to the top. Our team of guides and porters were the best, go Trekking Heros.

Kilimanjaro climbing Lemosho Route with Nafika Tours.
From the very beginning Nafika Tours a local agent from Tanzania has made this Kilimanjaro trip smooth and easy. I am a solo female tourist and I felt completely safe Nafika Tours did a great job on double checking all my gear to make sure I have what I need for summit day at Uhuru peak. They are not trying to sell you on the rental they really want to make sure you won't be cold during the trek. Nafika Tours took care of every little thing - airport pick up to gear check the morning of, resupplying on the mountain if we needed anything, 3 hot meals/day, a toilet tents, a wonderful and cheerful porter team. Our guides were Justin and the other 2 guides with yrs of experience, patience, love, respect for the mountain and Tanzania, and impressive professionalism. They kept a close eye on our physical, and emotional well being to ensure success. Twice/day medical checks were done, they had a first aid kit and were in touch with us at all times. We can't thank these people enough, without them this summit would have remained a dream. I must make a special mention of the food - it was delicious and great even from sea level standard. My entire group of 6 made the summit, I will recommend them to everyone I know who mentions climbing mount Kilimanjaro and would climb again with them because I know how well they care for us all.

    Successful Summit with Habari Adventure:
What an incredible experience to have summited Mt. Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route with Habari adventure. End February 2023, four friends and I hiked Kilimanjaro with Habari adventure. And for sure no doubt we had a great time. The reality is the altitude impacts everyone differently, no matter what your fitness level so you have to be prepared for the guides to not let you continue if they don't feel it is safe for you to continue. Habari took extremely good care of us pre-climb, during the climb and post-climb, attending to our every need and ensuring our health and safety along the way. You lack a lot of creature comforts camping on the side of a mountain for 6 nights, but Habari provided exceptional meals, warm accommodations, best tents and most importantly clean toilets. I enjoyed everyone I met, and formed a lot of new bonds and friendships with the guides. If you plan to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro don't consider anyone other than Habari, as they treat their guides and porters better than anyone and compensate them very well. Overall, the guide team and porters were great, very professional. They carried the requisite first aid gear with them, which was reassuring. Food was plentiful, and of good variety. I could go on and on, but basically, each step of the process was simply done well... people were professional, helpful, and kind. I'd definitely book with Habari adventure again

    Wonderful Kilimanjaro & Safari Experience;
    I hiked Kilimanjaro 7 days Lemosho following with 5 days safari in January 2023 with Habari adventure; I chose for the Lemosho Route so that I would have plenty of acclimatization time. As a of 7 we opted to hike during the full moon and the weather was more than perfect; The team spirit, food and the beautiful terrain for the Lemosho route kept us moving forward daily. I followed the advice of the Habari adventure staff and used their packing list. Also rented some of their gear. The Habari crew were so helpful keeping us out of trouble as we navigated swollen creeks and precariously wet rocks. I felt very comfortable during the whole climb. Fresh soup as a starter was welcome each day as were the fresh vegetables (avocados, water melon, pineapple and tomatoes were amazing). And the guides were constantly monitoring my health status. And happy to report that I had no ill effects from altitude or any other issues. Then after the climb I opted for a 5 day safari add on to Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater & Tarangire NP. Another class operation. Well worth the extra money. Saw thousands of animals and stayed at very nice lodges. The accommodations were first rate as was the food and drinks. Very comfortable and great service. Honestly Habari was very friendly, courteous and helpful everything was first class. Drivers and staff were on time and attentive. They started us off with a half day tour of Moshi which was a nice way to get a feel for the African way of life. Nothing was lacking. I highly recommend Habari adventure;

The temperature at the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro varies throughout the year, but during winter (June, July, and August) the temperature can drop to around -20 degrees Celsius (-4 degrees Fahrenheit) or even lower. It is important to note that these temperatures can be highly unpredictable and can vary significantly depending on the weather conditions.

Mount Kilimanjaro does not have typical seasons like other regions. However, there are generally two main climbing seasons that are considered the best times to climb:

1. *Dry Season (January to March and June to October):* These periods usually have clear skies and minimal rainfall, providing better visibility and stable conditions for climbing. The temperatures are also milder during these months.

2. *Wet Season (April to May and November to December):* These periods experience more rainfall, especially in the afternoons. The trails can become muddy and slippery, and there is a higher chance of encountering cloudy conditions. The temperatures are generally colder during the wet season, especially at higher altitudes.

It's important to note that weather conditions on Mount Kilimanjaro can be unpredictable, and temperatures can vary greatly depending on the altitude. It's recommended to check the specific weather forecasts for the time of your climb and consult with experienced guides before making any plans.

I highly recommend Nafika Tours for anyone planning to climb the mountain. My friend and I felt incredibly supported throughout our journey. Despite an unexpected flight delay, Nafika Tours quickly adapted, organizing an alternative route and a private climb, ultimately enhancing our overall experience!

From airport pickup, hotel arrangements, and camping equipment to professional guides, cooks, porters, and daily medical check-ups – everything exceeded our expectations. Nafika Tours truly stands out as the best local company.

Our guides, Ken and Daniel, were exceptional. They were not only considerate but also dedicated to ensuring our climb was positive and safe. Daniel's lively energy always brought smiles to our faces, and his sensitivity during challenging moments made us feel genuinely cared for.

Similarly, Ken was warm, respectful, and professional. We felt comfortable sharing any concerns with him, knowing he would address them promptly. Daniel's guiding expertise and medical knowledge were especially reassuring during critical moments, like when altitude sickness symptoms may have arisen. We can't thank Daniel and Ken enough for their outstanding support during our hike, and leaving them a positive review is the least we can do to express our gratitude.

Wow what a journey we had with Karibu Adventure, Week ago, I got back from my Kilimanjaro hike - an experience of a life time! I am so glad I chose Karibu Adventure for this! They are expirienced, professional, offer great price and have very nice, friendly attitude. I went alone, with my 7 - member crew ( 1 guide, 1 cook , 1 waiter and 4 porters). Everything was well, arranged, organized, It was very obvious they know what they were doing. I got detailed information before, Frank the owner answered all my questions, I got clear instructions before the climb - Patrick is great guide who became my best friend for those 6 days, he was very supportive and I couldn't do it without him. The same goes for the guys, they did their job perfectly and so much more! Their smiles, attitude, they did everything to make my experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Thank you.

My fiancé and I absolutely relish the unforgettable memories we brought back from Kilimanjaro. Getting to the summit and back was not an easy task, it was tough, but Mboni Adventures worked with us every step of the way.
Planning the trip was straight forward. We got all the information we wanted from Jack at the office. He advised us to take the Lemosho 8 days and we are glad that we did. We had more time to acclimatize and get used to the mountain conditions. Guide Mustapha led his crew of 6 porters and cook Joel that we had supporting us. I was very impressed by their discipline and hardwork.
The crew from Mboni Adventures are very organized and had excellent gear and equipment. The tent was comfortable and the mess tent spacious. It was reassuring to get daily health checks and see that the first aid bag was well kitted.
Food was delicious and adequate. There was enough water and we kept hydrated at all times.
I have total confidence in Mboni Adventures. They are one of the best Kilimanjaro trekking operators in Tanzania.
Asante sana

Brgs,
Katharina

I could not have wished for a better experience on Kilimanjaro than the one I had with Musa and his dream team crew of Maua Adventures on the Machame route. Their service was excellent and well thought out. From the pickup at the airport, gear inspection at the hotel, trip briefing and the actual 6-day trek.
The crew is experienced, hardworking and well-coordinated. We learnt so much from them and they were fully committed to our quest for safe summitting.
Food on the trip was exquisite. Peter prepared well balanced dishes that kept us properly nourished and energized to face the trek.
We found the trek to be strenuous, particularly on the sections approaching the summit. We were happy to have these particular guys supporting us.
I remember that booking this trip with Jackson the director Maua Adventures was a breeze. He was easy to work with and made the whole process easy.
I cannot fault any aspect of the trekking trip and given a chance to do it again I would still go with Maua Adventures.

Habari Adventure made my stay in Tanzania truly amazing; I took 7 days Lemosho route. Hiking Kilimanjaro is a physical challenging experience but worth taking. I truly felt cared for and can’t thank Stan and his team enough. I feel comfortable recommending this company to everyone.

This trip has met my expectations by far! Everything was well planned from arrival at airport, transfer to the hotel and the duration of the trek. I could not have asked for a better guide than Stan who always tried to keep me comfortable and happy. He knows much about Kilimanjaro so he kept me well informed.

The rest of the crew were amazing, most of the time, my tent would have already set up before I arrived and sleeping mat rolled out. Porters were very friendly and worked hard. They also teach me some sort of Swahili, they were amazing I really appreciate them.

The meals were awesome, varied and there was always plenty of food. Waiter Pio always lay the table with a checked tablecloth, he was very attentive and friendly, making sure I have plenty of water to drink during the trek as well by filling my water bottle.

I cannot say enough about this company and the trip was fantastic! Thank you, Habari Adventure for making my dream come true!

Our group of 12 guys successfully reached the summit of Kilimanjaro this week with Nafika Tours. Our experience with Nafika Tours was fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering this adventure.
Our lead guide, jonson, was knowledgeable and ensured we stayed on track to reach our goal. The assistant guides (Eli, Abdala and Evord ) were great and took turns leading our treks each day.

Our group took the Lemosho route since it gave us a little more time to acclimate to the elevation. 8 days is a long time so just be prepared to feel disconnected from your standard world.

During our trip we had complete trust in and felt cared for by our amazing “team” guides. They expertly led us up the mountain and back down - while becoming our friends. We always felt cheered on and that we would/could be successful every day. Every night after dinner we were briefed about the next day’s adventure - what to expect with the climb, how to dress, what to put in our daypack, what time we needed to be where, Medical check up- all the information we needed to feel prepared. With their patient guidance, we knew each day would be a awesome and a great hike.

Food was great, the cook did a great job of mixing meals. The team of porters was fantastic and provided great support. Have to shout out to Anold and Frank for keeping us smiling throughout the trip. Last day was tough, our group put in 18.5 miles as we trekked to a low camp after making the summit.

In All I would highly recommend Nafika Tours for any one considering making this climb.

Kilimanjaro is one of those things that you have to actually do to appreciate the once in a lifetime experience. My husband and I did this family trip with our teenage son, and it has brought us closer together.
Jackson from Mboni is excellent in planning for Kilimanjaro hikes. His attention to detail and meticulous nature took care of all the aspects of the trip. He thought about everything that a climber would need and planned for it.
We took the private Lemosho route with three guides (Marko, Simon and Peter), who went with us all the way the to the summit. We were provided with good quality equipment during the trek. There was also water to keep fresh and sponge bath.
The food was amazing. Priva was our cook and he's a master of putting out great delicacies in tough terrain. The porters worked pretty hard with the bags and chores. Loved their friendly nature and Swahili songs that kept us entertained. Picked up quite a lot of Swahili words from them.
We were lucky that we did not suffer from ALS on the way and had a trouble-free trek. The trek is very tough and not for the fainthearted. one should be well prepared and have good fitness levels. Above all a good crew is important to assure success and safety in Kilimanjaro.
Mboni Adventures is the best for Kilimanjaro climbing. If you want safety, success and comfort talk to Jackson

While planning my Kilimanjaro climb, I knew from the start that I wanted to use a Tanzanian-owned company. This way, my money wouldn't just buy me an adventure, but would also stay where it's needed and make a difference, no matter how small. I found exactly what I was looking for – a local, female-owned company in a part of the world where female empowerment is still vitally important. After requesting an estimate for a 7-day Lemosho route and receiving an exceptional value, I knew Ungi Tours was the right choice.

My trip was perfect! Top-notch organization, a great crew, excellent accommodation, and delicious food. The team offered instant support during the preparation phase and even helped with aspects of my Tanzanian trip outside of the climb. I would do it again in a heartbeat, and hope to one day. The best part of all? I found a new friend in Faiza, Ungi Tours' amazing owner. Thank you so much!
