Dutchy aka John was very chirpy throughout. He gave us lots of information before and during the transfer. Safety info, and local knowledge about the park, the walk and weather was very informative. In fact he never stopped talking (self confessed that he wouldn’t!) all the way! It was very reassuring that no walker would be left behind, with provision for late walkers if necessary. Thank you for an excellent service.

What a great start and end to our Tongariro Alpine Crossing experience. Dutchy's knowledge and love of the area really pumped us up for the hike. I also love a good safety talk... and Dutchy didn't disappoint! Important information was delivered engagingly, but with the right amount of light-hearteness to give me the confidence that 'I got this'. He was also always open for questions which was great for those of us that were a bit nervous about the trek. His great sense of humour and the efficiency of the pick up and drop off made the shuttle an excellent investment. I highly recommend!

Dutch provides a fun and informative transport to the trailhead of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Stories and useful tips along the way. Stayed at the Adventure Lodge and Motel (his place). Made it real easy to get on the 7:15 bus in.

Did the Tongariro crossing with my wife and our 6 months old baby. Great decision taking this transport! John was an excellent driver and great story teller. Droping us at the starting point and especially the pick up at the end of the treck was an extra safety feature we really welcomed. John waited over 30 minutes for us at the end, because we needed longer than expected. Can totally recommend this transport!

John / Duchie is such a lovely man and made our Tongariro crossing experience incredible. We loved that we could park in town and be driven to / from the mountain as it meant we didn’t have to worry about finding parking near the start of the track which can be tricky. John acted as a tour guide on the drive to the track, giving us some local knowledge and history and lots of tips for the hike we were about to do. He was waiting for us at the other end as well which was great - would highly recommend!

Dutchy was brilliant, lovely guy, very helpful! On the way to start the crossing provided us with interesting information and whilst on the walk called us up to check where we were up to for pick up times and was sat waiting when we finished. It was just very easy and a great way to start the walk!
