The wind is so strong, you can lean into it! The view of the Windward side of O`ahu is spectacular. Olomana mountain is breathtaking.

This stop had the most hilarious signs of the entire trip. No really, beware of bees in high wind. Also this falling rock sign is next to quite a large pile of fallen rocks.

This is an awesome lookout set in a lush forest at high elevation. The lookout is midway to Honolulu as you drive back from Kailua. You have great views of mountain peaks shrouded in dense flora and mist when looking towards Honolulu. When looking in...More

These views are free, no fee, only $3 for parking all day. We came on a day that was perfect, no wind, no sweater needed. All that is needed is your camera, sneakers, and a sweater.

This place has a great view, this was our second time to there. Weather was super, clear and sunny with just a slight breeze.

We stopped here as we were traveling from Honolulu to Kailua. It is actually fairly close to both; very windy, beautiful views, and just a neat overall experience. Don’t wear skirts unless you are prepared to hold them down the whole time (or not, it’s...More

Following the posted sign, from the Pali Highway, on the ocean side, a steep and narrow drive takes you to the parking lot. A few minutes by foot will take you to the actual lookout offering a broad panorama of the Southern part of Oahu....More

Stop at this breathtaking view of the Windward side of the island. Be prepared to be blowing in the wind as you walk up to the outlook. Definitely a Kodak moment. Even on a cloudy day.

I think it's just an "honor system" to pay if you decide to stop, park your car and walk up to the overlook. No charge for just driving through.
