We found the well hidden path and entered the water through the rock shoot. The waves were huge and current was strong but we are good swimmers and had floatation devices. Swam out into the open water and were immediately pummeled by high rocks and...More
As others have said, the access is a bit challenging, but it was amazing to snorkel with many sea turtles. Also a huge variety of fish and many urchins. Liked this better than the excursion that we took to Lanai to snorkel. I wouldn’t recommend...More
When in Maui we have alternatively stayed at either Napili Point or Napili Shores resorts, both of which have easy access to this little bay. (The Honokeana Cove resort does as well, but we've never stayed there and can't comment further.) Without a doubt this...More

Accessibility is the main concern. Did not try the pathway. Entry to the bay is easier if you are staying at the 2 resorts at the bay. NAPILI POINT and HONOKEANA COVE both which are older and more quiet resorts/facilities but are reasonably priced.
This cove is a bit tricky to get to, but worth the effort. This bay has numerous Sea turtles and abundant coral and other reef fish. Bring your own snorkel gear and swim at your own pace. Not crowded. Beautiful view.
