Buyer be AWARE... This not a bad tour but a bit of a mismatch of three activities (which can cause issues for some). 1) Shopping - You are taken by bus to the west end to visit a chocolate shop. Great presentation of chocolate making (free trial samples!). Then you walk the entire west end shopping lane (about 20 minute walk) to get back on the bus. 2) Eco-walk- You are then taken to a zip line outpost for a 1 hour walk through the rainforest with seven swinging bridges. May or may not see snakes, monkeys, iguanas. 3) Beach time - The final stop is a SUPER crowed beach club/hotel for 45 minutes. Note other tour companies are dropping off here too. ISSUES 1) Clothing - some people dressed for the beach with flip flop and could not make it through the eco-tour. Some people dressed for eco tour and did not have time to change into beachwear (due to long restroom lines) 2) Walking -The amount of overall walking was really tough for parents with small children and anyone not up to walking approx 2 hours total. Note the chocolate shop tour is on the second floor which has a VERY steep outdoor staircase. 3) Cash Only - If you want to buy items (other than chocolate) bring US dollars (small bills). Most of the small shops on the west end only took cash. 4) The Eco walking tour out of a MEGA zip line outpost (12 zip lines) was a tough sell for the teens in the group and there was no trading up. GOLD STARS- 1) Cassandra our guide was awesome! She spent the drive time educating us about the island (iguana is a dish served at local restaurants)! 2) The driver was great (sorry forgot to write down his name). 3) The van was super clean with cold air. 4) Chocolate samples were yummy! 5) Beautiful Island. 6) Seeing where the real working people of Roatan live. Note- 4 1/2 hour tour time including drive time between ship and three areas.
