    Ferry Ride
Went round trip from Belize City to San Pedro. Trip was 90 minutes. The crew were very good handling our luggage and making sure we were comfortable. On the return trip to Belize City we went through a rainstorm and the windows on the ferry had to be closed. There isn't air conditioning so it got very warm inside the ferry.

    San Pedro Belize trip
We arrange a trip to San Pedro island in Belize it is a hot tourist destination lots of fun beautiful resorts bars and restaurant beaches. so we decide to take the water taxi in Belize city. service is ok boats are old they over load goods and people on boats kind of scary. we made it safe to the island just be careful look at the boat and number of passengers ask what is the load limits on the boat. they were on time i have to say that both directions.

    Water / Land Taxi Transport
I used the water taxi the get back and forth from Belize City to San Pedro. When leaving the airport I booked the Water taxi and land Taxi combo. The land taxi was waiting for me at the airtport with my name on a sign. They were timely and very friendly (be sure to bring some cash for tip to and from - espescially for the land taxi. I didn't see where you could tip the water taxi). Overall, the water taxi experience was very positive, they were on time, the process to retrive my luggage was fairly quick and no issues. I would recommend the water taxi and to book ahead of time with land transport combo if avialable.

Efficient, economical ferry transportation to San Pedro.
The water taxi is an efficient and relatively inexpensive means of transports from Belize City to San Pedro. The trip takes approximately 1.5 hours. It is generally on-time. Although short on creature comforts it is the most economical way to access the islands off Belize's mainland.

    Easy and nice boat ride
This is a very easy way to get to San Pedro. We walked from our hotel to the ferry terminal. Purchased our tickets online ahead of time they loaded our luggage and unloaded it in San Pedro. Beautiful ride.

    belize city to islands transportation
We booked a round trip from belize city to san pedro and the water taxi was 45 minutes late getting us into San Pedro and 30 minutes late getting us back to Belize City. We had a flight leaving at 2 pm and took the water taxi at 10 from San Pedro (based on the recommendation from our hotel staff in San Pedro) and we were literally rushing to the airport at the end and barely made our flight. Recommend baking in an extra 30-45 minutes to make sure you accommodate for the delays/ checking in/out your luggage etc.

    Super customer service!
The customer service from this company was amazing. We booked both the shuttle from the airport as well as the water taxi to San Pedro. They were waiting for both our groups traveling and made the whole transfer so easy! I would highly recommend them.

    Water Taxi
This is one of 4 ways to get from the airport to San Pedro and a few other islands. (Water taxi, small plane, land taxi, rental). It's fun the first time, and it's a little over an hour faster than by land. It's relatively comfortable and you are allowed to move about.

    Express Water Taxi
We booked our water taxi ahead of time to go to/from Ambergris Caye. The ride was 1 1/2 hours each way. In hindsight, the money for the flight to the Caye would have been worth it. The water taxi back to Belize City was 30 minutes late. We had built in enough spare travel time that it did not have a negative impact on the rest of our travel plans.

    San Pedro Return Trip
Our trips to/from San Pedro were on schedule, and this is the most cost-effective way to make the journey. Luggage check-in was easy, boarding was fairly well organised, and we were able to sit together. It was great that they let us catch an earlier boat (we'd booked the next sailing but we got through the airport so quickly that we arrived a lot earlier than I thought we would).

Word to the wise to avoid this experience. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT PRE-PAY FOR YOUR TICKETS ON LINE. It's a total waste of money...$8 online fee to print your boarding passes only to get to the port and still have to stand in the purchase line to check. You would think if they're going to charge you the online fee, they would have a separate line for people that already purchased & another line for people that have to purchase a ticket. My husband & I arrived at 11am & the boat docked at 11:30am but because the line consisted of a combination of both purchased & unpurchased customers, we missed our boarding because the water taxi was full. Now we have to wait until 1pm in the hot sun to catch the next taxi. The men workers were very sarcastic when my husband ask why print out your own boarding paases & still have to stand in line with every body else. They told my husband just because you purchase on line doesn't mean nothing.. WOW. So my suggestion would be, Don't waste your $8 for something they don't honor...other than this, Happy 10th wedding Anniversary to us, the trip has been amazing other than this.

Have taken the water taxi several times and only had good experiences. Last time I pre-booked tickets and when our flight to Belize City arrived late I was afraid our tickets would be void but the front desk was very helpful and got us on next taxi to San Pedro, no additional charge. TIP: If you are concerned about sea sickness, don't sit at the front, you'll find the back is a smoother ride, and sit where you can keep your eyes on the horizon. Hubby and I sat in the middle, he's a little bit sensitive but has never had a problem. Staff take your luggage before you board and you collect it once you get off. Very professional service all round.

It’s a cost effective way to get from island to island in Belize but it can really get crowded. I highly recommend if cost is a major factor

Don't pay for the airport pickup. They won't be there waiting as promised, you'll have to get a taxi (which is $5 cheaper), and they'll refuse to refund the $35 you paid.

So you'll be out $65 just to get to the water taxi. They admitted to me that the driver wasn't there, and still refused to refund.

When I arrived at the docks, I was directed by a guy in a blue shirt to a small closed door office to buy a ticket. The boat was leaving in just a few minutes, so I was rushed. The lady who sold me my return ticket from Belize City to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, told me it was $118. I mistakenly paid in American dollars, not Belizean dollars. She did not correct my mistake, so I basically paid double the price. I didn't realize what I had done until I was on the boat.
When I reached San Pedro, I went into the office to explain what happened but they said they couldn't help me and I would have to go back to the city office.
I emailed the company several times over the next few days during my vacation but received no reply.
When I arrived back in Belize City on my way to the airport, the little room where I had purchased the ticket was closed and dark. I went to the official ticket windows and explained what had happened. The manager was very kind and helpful. She said they had emailed me back and told me that the lady's till had balanced so there was no discrepancy. I said, "Unless she put the money in her pocket!" The manager was very understanding and asked me to wait while they contacted HR and reviewed the security tapes. They took my ticket stubs and personal information.
After 45 minutes, I had to leave to catch my plane. I told them I was sorry we couldn't work it out but I had to go. The manager was again very kind and took my email address and phone number to contact me. I got in a cab to leave... and then the manager came running out to stop me. She said, "They want to reimburse you." I went back inside and another lady had me sign a form for refund of $118 BZ dollars and they took a photo of my passport.
While I was very angry that the initial ticketing agent double-charged me, I was very pleased with the excellent customer service given by the manager on my departure day. I honestly did not expect to get my money back but I felt that I had to try so that other tourists wouldn't get scammed in the same way.
NOTE: The Belizean Port Authority can fine the company up to $5,000 for overcharging a customer. If I hadn't received a resolution from the company, contacting them would have been my next step.
As for the boats, they were fine. Sturdy, fast, nice to be able to have your luggage checked and put belowdecks so you could relax a bit. (They give you a ticket to pick it up.) A bit confusing as to which boat to board at the docks as they tell you LINE 1 or something, take your ticket stub, then there are 3 boats loading at the same time. I had to ask which one was for San Pedro. Then the boat stopped at Caye Caulker first but they weren't really clear about that and I'd never done this trp before, so I wasn't sure I was supposed to get off or not. Someone should really be loudly announcing the port name for tourists.

We printed our boarding passes, but upon arrival, the staff had difficulty finding our names despite having three separate confirmations. Be aware that preprinted boarding passes DO NOT allow you access to the water taxi. You must be checked in physically at their ticketing station. This was frustrating, especially as the boat staff tried to rush us along despite the delays caused by their own processes. Once onboard, the service was adequate, and the crew was very personable. The ride itself was enjoyable and the view of the ocean was tranquil and beautiful.

However, the boats themselves seemed old and were overloaded with both goods and passengers, which was somewhat concerning. Although we eventually arrived safely at the island, it's worth noting that passengers should exercise caution and consider the boat's condition and passenger capacity. Unfortunately, the boat was delayed, causing us to miss our prearranged transport. Thankfully, the hotel promptly sent another cab, and we were able to reach the resort without much delay. While I understand that Americans may have different expectations regarding pace and organization, I believe there is room for improvement in the overall process.

Note: The water taxis are the most economical means of traveling between the mainland and the cayes, but it's worth mentioning that a plane offers a more organized and faster alternative.
