Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The park walking areas surrounding the lake crane’s roost is in. It’s big, specious. Lots of people come excessive or just walk with family or friends. It is right in Uptown Altamonte. It’s well lit at night. There are several events planned at the park throughput the year, like free concerts. During Christina’s they set up a big tree and a light show, which is very pretty to come see.
My only drawback is the amount of roaches I see when I go at night. I don’t encounter the same issue at Lake Eola.

I’ve visited Crane’s Roost Park a few times and it never seems to disappoint. It’s a pretty and quiet place where you can just hang by the water or take a nice stroll around. Great for dates, families, dog walks, jogging, or just taking in the ambiance. During the holidays they put up pretty lights along the walk paths and it lights up so nice at night.

At Cranes Roost you'll see ducks and other birds throughout the park. It is one mile if you walk once around the park. As you walk, you will be surrounded by the water and walk over two boardwalks. There is a restaurant with outside seating where you are by the water and the food is good too. There is other shopping close by. It is definitely worth seeing Cranes Roost. You will love it!

We met family staying at the Embassy Suites and walked over to Cafe Murano for dinner. Crane's Roost Park is a beautiful place on the water and great area to walk around. They do have entertainment but I'm not sure when. Also, I heard there are shops at the other end of the park but unfortunately didn't have time to walk there. Enjoy your time there!

Cranes Roost Park is a great boardwalk to stroll while social distancing. Please wear a mask when you can. Dogs are allowed but bring a pooh bag. Try Cafe Murano at the park for a great lunch or dinner. I recommend.

My hotel was next to this park and part of the reason for staying there again was this park. It is great for walking. It feels very safe and the amenities are great. Nice lighting at night. A little music. Friendly people.

Great especially at Christmas time with all the decorations!!! A very nice walk about a mile all the way around, safe for families, wheelchair accessible, beautiful area, etc. Lived in Central FL for over 30 years and sad to say have never taken the time to stop by and take a stroll until recently. We will be back.

We've visited the park many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. This trip, we bought discount tickets ($15 pp) to the annual Taste of Altamonte event that was held Monday night. There were employees from over 30 local restaurants offering samples of their menu, along with discount coupons. Most of what was offered was tasty, however, some items left a lot to be desired. The lines were long yet moved pretty quickly. The only thing bothersome was the occasional full grown drunk adult cutting in line. That and the lines kind of ran into each other. We're glad we went because it gave us the opportunity to try many restaurants in a short period of time. Worth going.

Is there a swimming pool at Cranes Roost Park? If not, is one planned?
Written 8 April 2019
NO. This is a park, mostly for walking and small concerts, fireworks shows, festivals etc.

I am pretty sure that you cannot ride your bicycle on the pedestrian paths but there are plenty of areas around the park itself where I think you can ride. Just not on the actual path around the lake itself. I hope that helps.

There are people that fish from the waters edge, not sure they actually catch anything. Likely need a license of some type.

Are roller skates and skateboards allowed here?
Written 24 July 2016
They are not allowed. If you would like more information, see Cranes Roost Park, Altamonte Springs, Florida for events, sights to see, etc.

How can I find out what events are on during Christmas? Is the park within walking distance of the Hampton Inn?
Written 23 December 2015
You might call the Altamonte Springs Leisure Dept: Ph: (407) 571-8740
