This is a homemade museum chock full of donated militaria from all eras. It's one of those volunteer-run places with exhibit cases full of objects with printed labels--no interpretation, just tons and tons of stuff. Not what most expect. This is worth a stop when traveling. A large collection of Uniforms, firearms and personal letters. Very educational. You need about an hour minimum to do it justice. Great restaurants a couple of blocks away on the vibrant and historic Athens Square surrounding the County Courthouse. …

This is a small museum but has a wide array starting with a little on the Revolution and goes thru Civil War, WWI and WWII, Korean and more. Uniforms of dads and daughter serving. and excellent guide.
