This is a homemade museum chock full of donated militaria from all eras. It's one of those volunteer-run places with exhibit cases full of objects with printed labels--no interpretation, just tons and tons of stuff. The staff are friendly but were unable to answer our questions. It's free and worth a quick stop.

Not what most expect. This is worth a stop when traveling. A large collection of Uniforms, firearms and personal letters. Very educational. You need about an hour minimum to do it justice. Great restaurants a couple of blocks away on the vibrant and historic Athens Square surrounding the County Courthouse.

What a wonderful place to visit. You could spend many hours looking at everything. Such a wonderful tribute to our Veterans and such a gem for Alabama. Athens, Alabama in Limestone County should be very proud of their patriotism.
