There are thousands of lotuses in this garden by the Anacostia River. Unfortunately when I visited in late August, all but a few of the blooms were no more. Still the numerous trails and boardwalks over marshes are worth a visit anytime of the year....More

The park is open year round, except Christmas Day and a couple of other holidays.
