The mighty Potomac river flows through Washington DC when you watch in flow pass it's a sight to see. You stand next to it or drive over a bridge over it you get great views of Washington DC.

The Potomac runs through the heart of the DC Metro area. It's lined with parkland and biking and hiking paths. Lots of monuments along the way. Lots of grand and non-so grand bridges.

Of course the river itself is wonderful if you add a bit of history and the bike trails and walking paths it's a wonderful afternoon.

Saw the Potomac from Georgetown Waterfront Park. Small little River where kayakers, paddle boarders, and boaters alike enjoyed the water. Went to canoing with my son and his girlfriend and love the scenic views that overlooked the river. It was a bit dirty but knew not to jump in! look of the Kennedy center and the Jefferson memorial...nothing like it!
