If you ever find yourself in Washington, The Capitol is a place you shouldn't miss visiting. Great architecture and very serene environment. So many places to visit, the day can pass you by without noticing because of all the fun you'll experience.

What a great visit, really interesting tour guide and a building worth visiting. There were lots of school children but they were very well behaved. It is worth going through the application and security to visit.

If you're lucky you're from a small state with fewer Washington visitors. Anyway, a visit to the House and Senate galleries is fun and educational.

There is so much history in Washington DC. One of the opportunities is to visit with members of the Senate and Congress from your home state. Try to do it if you can.

If you want to see the Capitol, security has really "beefed" up and you can no longer walk around alone-you must be guided by a tour guide. My recommendation would be to make reservations online so you are not stuck in the longer line of...More
