It's pretty amazing to stand and look across the basin. It's an expanse of tranquility in the middle of modern chaos.

It was raining the first time so I made it there a second time in three days. It is beautiful and inspiring rain or shine!

I’ve been to the Tidal Basin several times. It is best known and most visited when the cherry trees bloom, but it is beautiful any time. The Basin is flanked by the Washington Monument on the Mall and the Jefferson Memorial on the water banks....More

The tidal basin is inspiring with many of the memorials along the way. It is a great scene to look down the tidal basin towards the Washington Monument. You can rent paddle boats and a great sense during cherry blossom time.

We walked around the basin visiting memorials along the way. Parts of the sidewalk are in pretty bad shape and many of the trees need to be pruned. But the views are well worth it.

It's a tidal basis, but has the salacious history of Wilbur Mills and Fanny Fox. Otherwise, it's a body of water surrounded by stately marble monuments.

When we took the bike tour we rode past the Tidal Basin and it was a great place to take a bike break or take one of the pedal boats out.

This is a must see time of year to go. I kept an eye on the Cherry Blossom app to see when peak bloom would be, which kept changing. The basin is crowded, many dress up in pinks to honor the blossoms. The walk around...More

I love Tidal Basin. I would come here to take a break from homework and explore. There are benches to sit on, plenty to see, and it's very peaceful. I'd go at off times to avoid massive crowds.
