Lake Jocassee is an absolute gem. It's a Great Lake kayak on. There are miles of pristine shoreline and abundant wildlife. My favorite lake for kayaking.

We accessed the lake through Devil's Fork State Park. The fee was $2 per person. We went on labor day, there was plenty of parking at the ramp. I was pleasantly surprised that there were very few motorized boats on the lake. The water was...More

This is truly one of the special places in South Carolina . There is more rainfall in the upper part of the lake than in any other place in the State.

Went to the state park for swim. Water was cold but not as cold as the rivers. Calm and relaxed in the shadow of the mountains as a backdrop. Very beautiful.

The beach is within Devils Fork State Park and dogs must be on a leash at all times. Playing ball fetch in the water being about the only exception. Park Admission is $5 per person

Hi - If you mean the waterfall pontoon tour boats on the lake they hold about a dozen passengers. Private boats have passenger capacity on a tag or plate usually by the steering station on the boat.
