We rented a pontoon boat for four hours, although you can rent it for the entire day. Had lots of fun. Life jackets were supplied on the boat.

This is one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen. The water was clean and clear. Not many houses on the lake and it was like we had the lake to ourselves. Cannot wait to come back. Already palnning next trip!!!

The lake is clear and clean. Several hidden waterfalls you can get out of a boat and swim around and under. However, the water was up so there were no beaches.

Lake Jocassee never ceases to amaze and attract new friends and travelers seeking natures paradise. Recommend staying at least 3 or 4 days to truly relax and enjoy the Jocassee Gorges Area !

We live about 2 hours away from Lake Jocassee and have several other lakes that are closer but, being TVA lakes, are murkier and have clay and shale shorelines. Lake Jocassee was stunning with beautiful, clear water and sandy, private coves that felt much more...More

We just visited here on one of the busiest weekends of the year, Sunday July 3rd, and we would still go for 15 minutes without seeing other boats. I believe there are less than 50 houses built along the shore. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking...More

Water level was high this year so launching from the boat ramp was easier. Lake is big so even when there are a lot of boats, you can find plenty of open spaces. Very few houses so the view is trees and mountains. Bring food...More

Very good review of all that Lake Jocassee offers visitors. Lodging nearby is limited as this is a watershed lake and is surrounded by a 45,000 acre conservation easement. The area offers a smattering of campgrounds, RV parks, bed & breakfasts and private vacation home...More

The beach is within Devils Fork State Park and dogs must be on a leash at all times. Playing ball fetch in the water being about the only exception. Park Admission is $5 per person

Hi - If you mean the waterfall pontoon tour boats on the lake they hold about a dozen passengers. Private boats have passenger capacity on a tag or plate usually by the steering station on the boat.
