Feeling blessed we are just within arms length from the Delta. Many places to put your boat in... Such a huge waterway with beautiful scenery and loads of good fish.

Easy to Get Lost
May 2019
You can wind around the narrow roads and search for really old towns and get happily lost. So much water and so little time to see it all. Take a couple of days if you can.

Wild lives and sunset
Aug 2019
My house is next to the Delta in Discovery Bay. We frequently see fish jumping out of the water and birds flying around. Sometimes we see mommy birds feeding the babies right at our backyard. During the geese migration time, thousands of Canada geese fly pass my backyard. We also see sea otters and beavers. When it is calm, the water reflect the trees and houses and sometimes, the gorgeous sunset.

1200 miles of river delta, lots of every kind of recreation, and touring.
Feb 2019
Running from just east of San Francisco to east of Sacramento the delta is a boating, fishing, camping, touring wonderland.. Water ski, sail, swim, fish, motorcycle, drive, it's great. Several small river towns offer dining and shopping. Several State Parks offer camp sites as do many of the private resorts if you RV. All less than an hour from SF or Sac. More of a summer attraction for most, can get windy and cold at times.

Beautiful area not far from Sacramento
Apr 2017 • Solo
I drove CA HWY 160 from Hood down past Courtland along the river to Grand Island Mansion and on
down to Hwy 220. It is a beautiful drive along the levees especially as the sun is setting. The Paintersville and Steamboat Slough bridges are beautiful examples of Strauss Heel Trunnion bascule bridges and worth the drive themselves. The Grand Island Mansion is a beautiful old house open for events and Sunday brunch. The town of Courtland is an example of an historic Delta town. Take a drive and get out and see it - it is worth the effort.

Delta Boat Trip
Jul 2016
We took a great boat trip from Stockton, up the San Joaquin River to Rio Vista, round trip. We were on a pontoon boat and experienced beautiful scenery and lots of interesting beaches and restaurants to visit along the way. Would recommend to anyone looking for fun and adventure!

We would of been lost if it wasn't California Delta Maps
There are 1,000 miles of waterways. These maps have locations of Campgrounds, Marinas, Restaurants and much more. A must for Boaters, Campers and Fishermen.
