Bianca and Ami are very special people that made our HoopAway Retreat so amazing, they are generous to a fault, welcoming, and so much fun to be around. Bianca is a wealth of knowledge on Aotearoa and the Maori culture, and Ami is the most amazing cook ever. Staying on the Marae was an unforgettable experience, I highly recommend Potiki Adventures if you are seeing the sights in Waiheke, you won't be disappointed! See you next time B and Ami x…

Amy from Potiki Adventures was an excellent and knowledgeable guide who provided us with a unique Maori experience. She also took us to scenic areas and beaches as well as olive oil producing facilities and wineries on Waiheke Island.

To have an experience with Potiki Adventures is unique. Bianca is an incredibly generous guide and shares on the land, the history, the culture, medicinal plants, and so much story and song - all from a Maori perspective. A tour with Potiki will give you insights that are almost impossible to find elsewhere - and all with a great sense of humour and a tour tailored to YOU. It is difficult to put into words just how powerful my stay at the marae was and just how much I learned from each person that we were introduced to who sharedhaka and song and weaving and more. I have learned a LOT, laughed a LOT, seen a lot (beaches, sunrise walks, nature walks, local cafes, winery, the marae), experienced a lot and feel like I have got to know Waiheke in a very special way. I'll be back - again and again and again. I feel like one week wasn't enough to do everything and I could listen to Bianca's stories and sharing for another 2 weeks easy! I highly recommend Potiki Adventures whether you have a few hours, a few days or more.…

Spent a week staying on the Marae on a hula hoop retreat. The cultural tour’s organised were so well organised. The guides were so friendly and knowledgeable that I left the retreat considering them as friends. Cannot recommend this company enough!

The week I just had with a group of women changed my life. Hosted by Potiki Adventures, I learned so much about Maori culture and stories from Bianca, Keisha and Ricky. There were some extraordinary moments where I felt welcomed, humbled, and SO excited to be learning and to be there! It came alive with singing and learning about the Haka. Sunrise walks, an event that ran like butter, super fun (and safe) adventures kayaking, and so much laughter. Bianca is an outstanding guide and Potiki is well worth your custom. By the end of our stay the entire group was in love with B and the people who came to work at the Marae. You’ll see a huge part of Waiheke Island that you wouldn’t otherwise see if you just go and book a winery tour (also beautiful — but Waiheke is way more interesting than just vineyards). Life changing. Awesome. So well done. I’ll be back!!!…
