Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

came here after a very 'invigorating'" lengthy nature walk that started at Peacock Sky. We were pretty exhausted and looking for lunch. Unfortunately they do not serve food here but we could not have been treated better - we had water, tasted the best olive oil I have ever tasted, and got excellent directions. The staff here is very welcoming.

We visited and the hostess showed us the Olive trees and the pressing room and equipment, explaining the difference between extra virgin and virgin olive oil. Then on to a tasting of their award winning Extra Virgin olive oils. They also have manuka honey, herb spread and chutney and even olive oil lotions. Beautiful setting and a fun experience.

Had a lovely in person visit to the estate, and the olive oil tastes great. We purchased some and after we went through it all I ordered several more bottles. For some reason they shipped the order to my billing address instead of the mailing address I entered for the order, and they have been very disinterested and unhelpful in resolving the matter (the billing address is in another country - and it is impossible to travel right now). Most businesses would just apologize and resend the order to the correct address. They have asked me to find someone to go to the other location, pick up the package and ship it from that country to where I am right now, and in the process slow to respond, etc. Beware....

My apologies for "taking the Michael" but (a) This is not really my scene & (b) I don't like olives anyway. We just got brought in here on our wine tour !! Have to say it is a very well kept property & the lady did give us a good insight into the growing + preparation of the olives in the process of making olive oil. That said it is more of a girly thing & not for 007 types like me (LOL) ! What struck me the most was the sign behind the wine bar here : "Alcohol will not be served to anyone who is intoxicated". Ruled me out for starters..........................

We stopped here to do an olive oil tasting. The people were friendly and they offered quite a variety of olive oils. We ended up buying several different types, but our favorite was the olive oil with fresh herbs. Fun little stop on Waiheke Island!

After taking the ferry to Waiheke Island we went to visit Rangihoua Estate and learn about Olives and Olive Oil, specifically extra virgin olive oil! The tour around the place was short and the guide was entertaining. We got to sample 4 different oils, all of which were very tasty.
We got to walk around the grounds and appreciate a beautiful day. This is a good thing to do because it is quick and you can learn a lot about Olive Oil.

We made a quick stop here for olive oil, which we always do when on Waiheke. The flavours are amazing and it is no wonder this is an award-winning olive estate.

How can I book this olive oil tasting, if not part of a larger tour and is this location accessible by the bus?

Hi Keri,
Thanks for your question, you can book a tour and tasting by giving us a call on 09 372 6214 or by emailing us with the day you would like to come and the time and how many people in your group. If you are catching the bus you want to take either route 2 or 3 from Matiatia to Rocky Bay and disembark after you go past the Sports Park which you will see on your left after you turn off from the main road. You should then be within sight of Rangihoua Estate, about a 2 minute leisurely stroll from the bus stop.
