Leon's running a great operation great boat and top of the line fishing equipment. Veteran fisherman or never been fishing before you'll have a great time. Leon's patient and helpful. At the end of the trip, Leon filleted our fish and we had plenty for a few meals and you just can't beat fresh fish! This trip far exceeded my expectations keep up the good work :)

My second time out with Leon last week. Smashing day just like last time.
Leon has amazing local knowledge and puts you on the fish quickly. He’s got great chat and works hard to make sure everyone on board is enjoying themselves.

Leon took us out for an early morning fish. We had a fantastic time and managed to catch some excellent snapper to take home for dinner.

I got lucky and had Captain Leon of On The Hunt Fishing Charters all to myself for a half day. OnThe Hunt Fishing Charter really delivers: Big fish aplenty with a great captain and a well equipped fishing platform. Twenty minutes from the dock I had a 30+ pound New Zealand Kingfish on and what a fight it gave up. Then 5 more in the next hour! This trip was terrific and I highly recommend this charter and captain. A great day. Parties up to 4.

Fantastic day out. Captain Leon did his best to give us a great day out on the water & we caught some kingfish. Leon really went the extra mile to make our day a memorable one!

Four of us spent a day with leon hunting big kingfish at The Noises, just 20 mins out of Matiatia Bay, Waiheke Island. We are capable amateur fishers, but we all rated our day as being right up there with the very best fishing experiences, despite rough weather. Leon is an expert boatman and his Surtees is ideally set up for handling difficult conditions and making the task of hunting down and landing strong fighting fish safe and profitable. We caught more than a fair share of big kingies, returning all but a couple to the water. Leon is also excellent company and generous with his knowledge. We'll go out with Leon again and would encourage anyone to do so.

We did a morning charter with Leon and Matt who were awesome hosts and made a huge effort to make it a great experience for us. We had 4 adults and a 3 year old who was very much accommodated for. Would definitely recommend them, and we will be returning in the future.

Totally recommend this charter, Leon knew his stuff and took us straight to the fish. Would definitely come back for the King fishing!

Leon is a top bloke he went over and above to make my day the best that it could be.
Whilst making sure that were in the comfiest of conditions. We had a great day with some nice size snapper and a few other species.
I highly recommend this charter as he is all about sustainable fishing we only took home a feed and released the bigger fish for another day.
The boat is gorgeous pretty much brand new very well maintained and clean.
I'll be back very soon for another trip cheers bro.

The 3 of us had an awesome days fishing targeting Kingfish with Leon and Matt . The boat is new and well set up for such a long range adventure although not surveyed for Dives . This skipper is a top guy and committed to ensuring you have a great day to land the fish you were after !! We will be sure to book again we highly recommend this charter to others.
