We stopped in at the Wine Centre to try and get some bottles of wine we had sampled at lunch and also to taste some wines from a vineyard where we had run out of time. The range of Waiheke wines was very extensive and the wine tasting machine was innovative and fun. Despite being busy with a number of requests and customers, the store manager was relaxed and friendly. He gave us a quick run down on the machine, offered us water to have between tastings, and even offered to open the deck at the back of the shop so we could look out over Oneroa Beach while tasting.

Mission accomplished - we stocked up on our lunchtime wine and also came away with a couple of extras

The Wine Centre and its tasting machine is a really good wine tasting back-up for those times vineyards are closed(most often midweek) or if you want to taste wines from different vineyards in one session.

I also noticed a very good range of craft beers lurking in the fridge!

I had read about their machine that allows you to taste and pay. When we arrived and asked the guy behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. We tried a few wines and it was great. No pressure. Enjoy yourself

We didn't have time to visit that many wineries, so this was a great way to taste some local wines. We got to sit out on the little balcony and enjoy our wine and the sun. The staff were really friendly and helpful!

We were wondering about and discovered this place. The staff was very friendly and guided us through the method. And soon we were enjoying a good selection of local wines, and relaxing in their tiny back balcony. Would definitely go back if we ever found our way again to beautiful Waiheke.

This is a great place to try and purchase some great Waiheke Island wines and especially those that you may not get to visit. A large selection of wines from NZ and Europe to buy and a great place to find some of those 'hard to find' wines that you may be seeking!

Popped in to purchase some local wines before getting on the ferry for home.
They have a great selection of local wines, and have a tasting dispenser similar to the one down in Queenstown.
A great way to sample a variety of wines to help with your purchasing decisions.
Unfortunately, I did not have sufficient time to have a good look around the shop and make any further comment on their range offering.
Looking foward to opening the wine I purchased and enjoying it with good friends!

Went in there while wondering around town. Service was amazing. Very informative of all the local wines and no question was to hard or silly. They even called Goldie to see if they were open for us. Great selection of all wines. Local and afar. Great wines available for tasting. Also slightly cheaper than the actual vineyards:-)

This was so much better than expected. Great selection of local and also overseas wines (and beers). The dispensing machine ( to try the local wines) was fun and easy to use - loved it!!

This wine centre allows you to taste a number of local wines (at a price) without having to search out the vineyards but they were also very good with advice about which place to go to for what sort of wines.

This wine shop is located in a lovely small town on the beach called Oneroa on Waiheke Island.

They have a great collection of wines available from the local wineries on the island. It was the best collections I wines available at the one location that I saw on the island.

The way it works is that you pay a deposit by credit card and you receive an $100 card where you can electronically have wine tastings of your choice (self service) and you pay what you consume at completion of the tasting.

I did not have the credit card as my wife was using this at a nearby retail store.

Thankfully the owner gave me the $100 card and some trust and allowed me to help myself to several wines. They have previously had customers not pay for the wine they consumed and leave.

I had an enjoyable wine tasting here but as a shop lacks the ambiance of a winery.
