Fantastic experience to get out on the water and have a blast in a completely different way than usual. The jetski was comfortable, easy to ride, ran a solid 3 hours no issues and was a blast. Mike's briefing before boarding was perfect, simple and to the point. What's a great touch is that your booked time starts ONCE YOU'RE ON THE WATER. Plenty of storage on board out of the water (we took our backpack and shoes).

Stopped today on a cruiseship and found Mike and the team. Excellent friendly service from start to finish. Mike pointed out some good areas to ride to and get some nice photos.
Will definitely book through Seamonkeez if I stop off again.

We had a few hours to spare before heading for dinner and decided to rent a Jetski for 2 hours to explore the Matlborough Sound. This was one of the best decisions we did during our 3 week trip to New Zealand.
If you are comfortable riding a Jetski, this is in my opinion without question the best way to explore The Sound! Much more fun than taking a traditional boat tour!

Ok, so it might be fun to roar around and around at speed on a jet ski, but please do this away from people’s homes and baches. You need to be at least 200 metres from shore if you’re going over 5 knots of boat speed. Spread yourselves around too, don’t just come over to Lochmara Bay and subject the locals to all your roaring around in one place. It seems quite pointless to ride around without any specific purpose but I guess that’s just the way some people like to enjoy the beautiful and tranquil Marlborough Sounds.

Visited Picton with my kids (Teenagers) while on a cruise. We called 1 week earlier and booked jet ski's as we were only there for a day.
They had no record of our booking, made us wait around for 90 min promising us the jetski then backed out, when someone came in for a full day hire and lied to us.
They ruined our day, our kids ver super disappointed.
Not even a decent apology, he could not be bothered "Says to me I am giving you your money back"
Would be careful, we had a very bad experience.

Thanks for you're review,however this is nothing more than fiction! you called me earlier that day(not a week ahead) we did have record of your booking ,but were unable to reserve your booking until you physically came into the shop and pay a deposit.you must understand that walking in off the street without a confirmed booking during peak season in a tourist town is never a great idea!,however we were able to help and agreed to book 2 skis for you and explained they would not be available immediately as other hirers had also booked jet skis.A short time after your booking was confirmed we received word that one of our skis had suffered a mechanical failure which took the jet ski out of action until it could be repaired(which was very unfortunate for everyone)We then explained and offered 1 jet ski at the same time frame it was originally booked for ,and / or the 2nd ski at a later time that day(which was declined).I was then asked several times ' What are you going to do for me Mike? as there was nothing I could do I AGAIN apologised for the inconvenience.Unfortunatly this seemed to fall of deaf ears. The hire time was then quickly snapped up by another passenger of the cruiseship who continued their time in Picton and in their words" had an absolute blast! In fact this guy made such a fuss in my shop that other customers were actually shaking their heads in disbeleif at his attitude and commented on his arrogance. As I'm sure you can all see we run a very good business and have a perfect review rating with the exception of this one unreasonable person. come in and see for yourself you won't be disappointed,thanks

We stopped in Picton on our cruise and I had prebooked 2 hrs jetskiing for 2 ad & 2 ch. Mike and his wife were great! We hadn't been on jetskis before so were given good guidance. We all loved it! Wish we had a gopro for it. Amazing way to see all around the inlets & bays! Highly recommend. Have an ice cream after too!

Had a great afternoon on 2 jet skis with the kids. A bit windy when we left, but so many bays to visit, you can always find shelter somewhere. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the independence of not having to follow a guide. They gave us good instructions, and we had a great afternoon!

While on the Emerald Princess Cruise Ship, a group of families decided to jet ski while the ship was at Picton for the day.
Called into Seamonkeez Jetski Hire and ended up having the highlight of the whole cruise!!!!! (N.B. The shop is NEXT to an ice cream shop IN town, NOT on the harbour)
The lovely couple who own the business could not have done more to ensure we had a great time.
You get driven to a bay by Mike and Mel (owners) around 10 minutes away from the centre of Picton , where they explain how the jetski's work and then you have a huge area to explore at your leisure. The jetskis are almost brand new and easy to control and the scenery is absolutely spectacular.
At the end of your time they come and pick you up and take you back to Picton.
Prices for an hour are very reasonable and you just then pay for the petrol you use.
We had the best time and would not hesitate to recommend this experience for anyone who likes a little adventure in their day.
Thank you Mike and Mel for providing a real highlight of our trip! (and thanks for looking after the card that this idiot left behind!!!!!)

My friend and I hired out two jetskis for 4 hours each, was such value for money, no tour guide we could venture where we liked when we liked. Even saw dolphins! Mike (the guy in charge) dropped us down to the jetty and picked us up when our Tim was up! I'm defiantly recommending to friends, was our highlight of our trip on the south island, so much freedom to explore. Thanks guys!

Exhilarating experience. Man and wife team, lovely people, easy to deal with. The ski’s were easy to use and we had a ball out in the sounds. Highly recommended.

Hi. We are a family of 9 coming to Picton on a cruise ship on 17th January. Can we please book a JetSki safari for all of us to go around Marlborough sounds and maybe queen charlotte sounds? The youngest child in our group is aged 7.
