We fell in love with Picton. It is small but has a bit of everything, not least incredible views and scenery. Do stay for a few days - there is more to it than a ferry port!

When in Picton head out into the Sounds on foot via the Snout Track walk. Can be accessed from town but we parked up the hill - follow signs for Victoria Domain. The views are stunning and the walk is an excellent 2hr+ hike along the end of the sounds ending at the Snout Head.

Lucky enough to visit this place on a beautiful sunny day, we cruised in through the heads and docked at the container port, with a short bus trip to Picton, loved every minute of this visit, so much to do and see was a shame to only be allowed one day. Hope to go back for a longer holiday.

Great village to spend a day or two in. Marina, coastal walks, dolphin and whale viewing, specialty shops, restaurants and bars.

We went to Cougar Lines and booked a visit to Kaipupu Point and went over at 11:30am and got picked up at 2:00pm. We had a very pleasant walk around the track which was made four years ago. There are lookout points along the way and you are followed by birdsong from bellbirds and tuis. It is a good example... More

A beautiful sheltered coastal inlet. Get out on one of the boat trips on offer to see at close hand and enjoy the wildlife

Having visited a museum and had a nice hot shower in a local backpackers, I was lucky to have time for a coffee close to the water. There was very few people here and at times had the whole place to myself. Great spot for a picnic and pictures.

Thank Simon L
