we took the boat from Wellington to Picton, and had the time to stop for a while in this little town. I would only recommend strolling the beach road (pedestrian walk) and then move on to your next stop. Good local market as well, if...More

We were here a week and took advantage of the local tours....big highlights were the winery tour, kayaking, and dolphin spotting. Very walkable and the Picton waterfront is amazing no matter the weather

Nice for a walk or a sit down or a swim - whatever you fancy. There is also a place that rents out kayaks and paddle boards. There's also a nice walk up on to one of the headlands which you can find out about...More

Picton is a small town at the mouth of Queen Charlotte Sound. A walk along the waterfront offers a nice view. Nothing particularly remarkable but very pleasant.

Enjoyed this short but pretty walk to Bob’s Bay. Scenery was spectacular especially on a beautiful sunny day. Took about 1 hour return with two kids walking at leisurely pace.

We spent a lot of time down in the sound area enjoying watching the family's picnic, kids and dogs playing in the water, baskers lay in the Sun, all ages of youthful hearts sailing models in a lake with a mini train that goes around...More
