Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Heather our guide/driver was so knowledgeable about the wineries and the local connections. We will never forget the trip as she was so helpful and a big thank you as we left our bottle of wine on the mini bus. So a great big thank you Heather.
The Green Mussel cruise was another informative trip so thank you.

Took a tour off the boat using this company. They did a fantastic job. We went to 3 wineries in about 5 hours. Each one was quite different from the other but all very nice. The guide/driver was very knowledgeable. Make sure you eat before you go as most wineries have limited food. Most of them ship to the USA, UK and Australia.

Our guide Kat was funny, knowledgeable and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Fancy having to put up with a few Aussies with a several drinks under their belt, and a couple of welsh tourists. It was only a small group of eight but we had a great day, even with a couple of add ons because we had extra time.
The wineries we went to were spectacular and lunch was just in time to soak up not just the atmosphere.
Would highly recommend!!!

Very well-done tour to three different style wineries (Just like the 3 bears, one big, one medium, and one small, with different varieties at each.) Since you are in a small group, you can easily ask questions at each stop. Comfortable vehicle with good chats with our guide (Nikki?), nice lunch at one winery (not included but very good), plus the important stop at the chocolate factory. All in all, a terrific tour.

Awesome tour. Great tour driver and some great wineries. Boat cruise was a bit cramped as they had put 2 trips into one boat.

We booked a private tour for 10 from our ship with Lynn. It was very well organized and we went to a variety of wineries, many more than we would have gone to with a shore excursion. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful winery. The chocolate was delicious, but it was more of a shop and less of a factory.

Ryan the skipper being from a long time local family provided us with a comprehensive and both very interesting and extremely well delivered commentary. He was also extremely co-operative and prepared to go that extra yard to make sure we all enjoyed the tour.
We visited the mussel farms and salmon farms which were extremely interesting.
Ryan then produced a lunch which was superb to say the least. Fresh mussels cooked in nothing but their own juices and salmon literally just harvested. Yummy! People who either had not tried mussels or who said they did not like them were instant converts.
The food was out of this world, plentiful and of course washed down with some excellent New Zealand wine.
The scenery was tops and Ryan managed to find just about every variety of animals, birds and fish that existed, all in their natural habitat.
Picton itself is so so pretty and an absolute must to visit. We all cannot wait to return with first call Ryan and the Marlborough Tour Company and the many fabulous Restaurants and food providers such as pubs and cafes. The people are so friendly and the area itself is safe for all.

My daughter and I went on an amazing tour of wineries in the Marlborough region with an excellent lunch and a chocolate factory for a special treat! After being picked up at Picton by our brilliant guide Carol, we had a fun filled tour with the most amazing and informative guide we could have hoped for.
Carol made us feel completely at home in NZ and we learnt a great deal about the excellent quality of wine produced in the region and even a case of asstd wine to be sent back to Australia.
A wonderful day out which made me kind of glad my husband had been too sick to go and it became a great mum and daughter experience... I would definitely take the tour again on our next trip to NZ!

Our group of ex marathon runners and their partners spent a few days in Picton on a yearly reunion. We relied on Marlborough Tours to take us to the several different locations we had planned to visit including Peter Jackson's airplane museum (excellent) and some wonderful wineries and restaurants. Lynn was a wonderful and safe driver and extremely knowledgeable about the entire region. Her friendly nature and thoughtful attitude to everyone certainly enhanced a fabulous stay in Picton.
