Cruiseship visit, however pretty behind cover, chilly in breeze but very picturesque, Markets in Picton town-center was very pleasant, good vibe about whole town.

We drove the Short (slow) cut from Havelock to Picton. The road is not great but the views along the way of the Sound are fantastic. So many great photo opportunities at every point where you can stop and enjoy the view.

Ship Cove in Queen Charlotte Sound is a real historical site which is generally recognised as Captain Cook’s favourite New Zealand base between his first visit in January 1770 and his last departure in 1777. As soon as we landed we felt a sense of...More

This road along the coast offers spectacular views of the Marlborough sounds and the waters. Take your time and stop at the various places along the road. Small walks down to the water and small beaches. Great way to explore the coast and nature.

If you want any kind of luxury don’t book on the Affinity boat. We received paperwork describing the conditions but they were completely different to what we imagined. We had boiled cabbage or some other over cooked vegetable with our meat every night and no...More

What a place to be! So serene and unspoilt, it is almost unbelievable. With the nearby wineries it makes a great experience. Loved it.

We had an amazing time yesterday, our skipper Julian was awesome , full of information, facts and fun. We saw dolphins 🐬 seals and local wildlife. We stopped off and walked around and took turns at delivering the mail. Highly recommended to all 😊

I did this 5 day walk and don't know why it is not more heavily advertised. Beachcombers will port your luggage to each campsite for free when you purchase a ferry ticket to Ship's Cove. So easy, so beautiful!

We did the walk after unseasonable wet weather and it was quite slippy in places (clay) it is very up and down but we thoroughly enjoyed it and if you walk a lot you will be fine and can take it at your own pace. We are... More

We stayed at the awful Brydon Accomodations in Blenheim, which I can't recommend! There were some nice wineries in the area, if I was returning I would look at one of those.
