Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely short walk just outside Picton township. Nice drive to get there too. Good signage. Little beach at end for exploring.

Narrow road from Picton to Karaka Point reserve but the view from land of Queen Charlotte Sound worth it. Great parking and a long drop toilet on the short walk also

The road to get to this point was a little small for our massive camper van, but it was well worth it. The views are fantastic and the little walk to the "point" was interesting as there was information boards on the way. Well worth the trip.

Short walk down to beach, with some information about historical features of ancient pa. We hung out on the beach skimming stones and watching boats and saw a pod of dolphins!

We had just finished the snout track which has amazing views. Unfortunately this track was a real let down in comparison with little views provided & not much effort required. There was a toilet at the track.

Karaka Point is steeped in history, with bloody battles between warring tribes etc. A pleasant short walk, along the way there are information signs, telling you what happened there in days gone by.

A picnic table that you can drive to is a great option for the less mobile tourist. The toliet is down the hill a bit, so not as easy to get to for elderly etc, but a fantastic view from the carpark is worthy of a stop. There is a picnic table, so a nice area to have lunch. For those interested in a short walk down to the water, the track is well maintained. History is printed on signage, so that is an added bonus too.
