I just love the way this town has decided to remember their fallen soldiers. You just feel something just standing under the arch.

Visited on Thursday 17th May. This is situated in Pride of Place near the waters edge in Picton, you can't miss it as you walk around the town.

The crenalllated gateway through which you see Picton Sound and lovely gardens is a flitting tribute to those that made the ultimate sacrifice. Very photogenic.

Nothing grand, just a reminder to us of those that lost thier lives from the local area in the World Wars.

I don't rate this as an attrcation but as a war memorial it is a good one, beautifully located.right between the town centre and the water.

It sits in a prominent position on High Street, Picton and is a modest , simple and nice war memorial in commemoration of those who served and has outstanding views of the Picton Harbour and sound.
