Having worked through Christmas we booked a much needed extended weekend away and chose to walk 3 days of Queen Charlotte Track. We planned for wet weather and ended up with sunshine. The track was well marked and easy to navigate. We may try walking poles to make it even easier next time!! New Zealand Walks arrange everything, accommodation, transfers, lunches and a cheeky wine tour after day 3 :-) A nice break and lots of fun all round!!

Amazing experience with a very knowledgeable, energetic and fun guide Jake that made the adventure so enjoyable. Would highly recommend to anyone whom enjoys the multiple day hike in comfort and good hands.

My husband and I, together with another couple, walked the Queen Charlotte Track on an independent walking tour organised by New Zealand Walks. The whole experience was fantastic and dealing with New Zealand walks took all the stress out of the planning and organising. The communication was great and when plans had to change due to weather, they gave us options and recommendations that worked for us. The lodge accommodation along the track was extremely comfortable and welcoming which was a huge bonus after long days of walking. Highly recommended!

NZ Walks did a great job organising our Humpridge Track 3-day walk, including arranging accommodation before and after the climb, heli baggage transport and the all-important, unforgettable, award-winning sausages and mash at the huts! Would highly recommend using Anna and her team for this trip!

Queen Charlotte track: Very well organized. Great communication. Anna replied to our last minute questions on Sunday evening within an hour and was always very friendly and helpful.
Friendly and knowledgeable team on the water taxi made the trip even more special. Very nice lodges too and the walk and track was spectacular.
I definitely recommend this trip!

These guys organised our Queen Charlotte walk/ ride. Some of us hiked while I rode a mountain bike. It was all incredibly well organised, which included Anna organising an ebike for part of my ride. This involved a bike being sent by water taxi and a swap over. Everything went to plan.
In general nothing was too much trouble and the standard of our accommodation and food was hard to fault. In spite of a tough ride, I put on weight!
Do not hesitate to book with Anna at NZ Walks, you will not be disappointed. The price of our trip package was hard to beat too…I don’t know how they manage but I’m not complaining. We’ve cycled a lot of countries with local operators and some were excellent but I’m not sure they measured up to NZ Walks, and I’m not just being patriotic. Grant Dyson

We booked the Abel Tasman Four Day All the Way Freedom Walk.
It was well worth the money as we were very well looked after with great accommodation and support throughout the trip.
All the transport was included plus daily packed lunches which were yummy.
We’ll be looking to book another trip with them soon.

We walked the Queen Charlotte walkway from Ships Cove to Ponga Cove. Hard to pick a highlight, scenery is beautiful, lodges amazing and food exceptional.

We did the Experience Fiordland 4 night/5 day Te Anau based package with New Zealand walks. This is the second time we have used this company and like the first time, everything ran like clockwork. Anna, the owner, communicated brilliantly throughout, from initial ideas and booking, right through to questions whilst we were there. The service providers used were all excellent. Guides were flexible and accommodated the groups' requests. Every aspect of our itinerary was spot on.
Having a base to come back to each evening enabled us to relax in the evenings and sample the many good restaurants that Te Anau has to offer.
This package is a great way to experience sections of three of the great walks.

Our pack free walk along the Queen Charlotte track was just wonderful & very well organised by NZ walks. The accommodation was excellent & food, especially the packed lunches, really delicious. We highly recommend this adventure.

What is a tour I am able to do when I am travelling alone. Interested in group walking tours
Hi Sarah, Thank you for your question. I would recommend either the Queen Charlotte, Abel Tasman or the Hollyford Track, where you can join a small group and a guided walk on each these tracks. We could certainly arrange your accommodation and transport between these tracks too if you were keen to link together more than one track.
